Looks good Mik!! Once again I applaude Janty for innovating!!

I like it. But the two turn offs for me are the 801 atty/cart (you know I can't seem to get this damn system to work!), would rather a 510 or do like Pure Smoker - make two models to select from. Also wonder why you can't make a reomovable off-the-shelf batt like the JS. You could still have the housing and the usb electronics in the housing.

Just my .02.

BTW - I just took delivery on my JS. Are you guys coming out with an updated model!!?? Hate to think I missed a major upgrade by a few weeks. You guys are getting like Apple!!

I cant say when we will, but at some point we will yes. But then again, if you hadnt bought your JS now, you would be without a JS for whatever amount of time it takes us to put an upgraded model out, now wouldnt you? =)

yeah but at 6V it makes more vapor, doesn't it (i've never tried a 5V, so im no expert)

5v and 6v produces the same amount of vapor - its hard to tell the difference visually. For the taste it depends on the atomizer. 6v can produce a big taste - but this can also kill some flavors you like.

If i smokey ry-4 on 3.7 or 5v i love it. If i do it on 6v, its too caramel like for my taste buds..

=)

I'm liking the design of this a lot. Depending on the final iteration this will have to become part of my collection. ;

I Like:
801 atty
Good vapor production
Manual Switch
Battery life (as in more than an hour and a half as I get with my 510's)
Did I mention vapor production? :D

I don't really mind a proprietary battery as long as it's TRULY a quality battery as in an iPod or cellphone bat.
I'm currently using a 5v mod w/ an 801 atty but I'm not truly against 3.7v either.

I really like the way this looks.

But I hope you have a strategy for dealing with folks who are overcritical, never satisfied, persistently negative and can argue days about the most trivial things, and this sort of thing can seriously consume bandwidth when designing a product or taking it to market.

I agree completely.

It's kinda sad when Janty unveils a design targeted to a certain demographic, only to have people who don't really belong to that demographic (and probably wouldn't purchase the product anyway) tear it down verbally. I really hope Janty sticks to their guns and doesn't cave in to a bunch of folks on a forum who aren't really interested in that particular model, and just want to complain about how it's not what they would want.

I mean, shouldn't it be okay for Janty to come out with a few different models that appeal to different groups of people? If that particular model isn't something I'm interested in, I'm not going to whine and complain about it. I'll wait for the next product to come out that may be more my style. For example, it looks like Janty has at least three models in development right now, the Cameo, the Baby J, and the new improved Stick. If you don't like the Cameo, does it make sense to complain about it when the new Stick is the model you may be more interested in? Isn't that like walking into a Hyundai dealership and complaining that the Accent doesn't have the features you heard about on one of Ford's concept cars?

Oh well. Rant over.

Hey AngusATAT, did you forget that Janty asked us a question?

So - yes, very exciting i think, but what do you think?

/Mik

He did and we responded, positive and negative.

If all was positive how can they learn to make improvements?

If they don't want to know, they would not ask the question.

I think by them asking us, they saved them self a lot of money by not putting this MP3 player/e-cig on the market.

;)

I hate to bring this up again, but this should not be the attitude of a major e-cig industry player(Hiding their product to avoid customs detection). To insinuate something like this really diminishes your credibilty as a legitimate business. We're sinking back into what drug cartels do to hide something "illegal". Again, this should not be our industry outlook. I'm sure the ECA would have major problems with a statement like this. If you truly want to have an item that has no issues, then incorporate a true dual function battery(as most other mods do) into the design. As we agreed yesterday , this may not be the appropriate thread, so this will be my final word, but it distresses me to see this theme continuing to pop-up.

Come on man don't take things so seriously.

Hey AngusATAT, did you forget that Janty asked us a question?
No, I didn't. And I'm not talking about the folks who gave constructive feedback. I'm talking about the ones who were basically just here to be negative.

He did and we responded, positive and negative.
Yes, but it was more like positive, negative, and ranting. Not constructive.

If all was positive how can they learn to make improvements?
It didn't have to be all positive.

If they don't want to know, they would not ask the question.
I'm sure they wanted constructive feedback, not ranting and complaining that this particular model in no way was what they considered to be the perfect PV.

I think by them asking us, they saved them self a lot of money by not putting this MP3 player/e-cig on the market.
You may want to take another look. Mik didn't say they weren't going to scrap the idea. He said they would consider making a version of it without an mp3 player.

It's one thing to say "You may want to consider making a version without the mp3 for folks who wouldn't want or use it", and quite another to rant saying (paraphrasing) "It sucks. No auto dripping juice pump? No (insert feature no one makes yet)?". That's not constructive, and helps no one. I'm sure Mik wasn't looking to be told to redesign the whole thing just to please a few really demanding people.

Mik:

... Sorry, but even if this might come as a shock to you, im not interested in making a "metal type device". I find them ugly...

>

Wow.

Well, if you can't find the beauty in a perfectly-turned down piece of stainless, chrome or aluminum like the Super T, the AdapteveR, the Vapre51, the Silver Bullet, the Pure Smoker mods or any one a dozen mods cranked out by Cisco we don't have much to talk about. If you want to compare yet another piece of plastic from Janty as compared to the magnificent powder coating of the Chucks and instead extol the virtue of thermoplastic then I'm afraid you and the braintrust @Janty have not listened to your customer base.

We wanted an improved JS. The solid feel and luxurious look of metal would have been a step in the right direction. Many of us LOVE the feel/size and stealthiness of the JS. We just wanted something a bit more substantial. There was no need to re-invent the wheel. The wheel only needed to be trued. K.I.S.S. should have been the M.O.

I respect your opinion and understand your purpose here in the forum, Mik. I just whole-heartedly disagree with you. From the looks of the "Would you buy a Cameo" poll, I'm not alone.

I haven't had time to read through all the posts yet, but THIS IS WHAT IM TALKING 'BOUT!!!!

I am much more excited about this than the cameo. I will probably end up getting both and the twinbox if that's still in the works- but I prefer this model much more than than the cameo- it seems like the cameo is more of a "all-in-one" novelty ecig- this looks like business, made for pure vaping and nothing more. This PV is sexy- I know the LED is not really necessary for performance, but I like them and I prefer my e-cigs with them because I think it makes them look awesome, and I like to know when my e-cig is fully charged, and when it needs charging- I LOVE the choice for the 801 atty, with adapters everyone will be happy. This is one sexy ... mamajama. I WANT ONE NOW!

Mik- I must commend you on giving us the info on these projects, I think this will create more buzz and hype than keeping it a secret. This will get people talking, and be able to picture what we are waiting on, and making that wait not as painful. I know waiting on the cameo was killing me. I kept asking myself, why should I keep putting off buying other e-cig models and wait on the cameo when I don't even know what I am waiting on.

I think keeping the consumers informed on new ideas and prototypes is alot better strategy than the don't say nothing strategy. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK.

This is why Janty is leading the indusrty!!!!

Also BRING ON THE TWINBOXXX!!!!!!

EDIT: Oh yeah, if this model will eventually be able to vape at 3.7, 5v or 6v it will be an absolut homerun!!!!!!! I am really excited about this project. With the ability to use different voltages will be IMO the best e-cig ever commercially made!!!!! I am sooooo excited about this one!

Here ya go, Mik. A whole new niche. Custom made e-cigs. Anyone who is so into 'their own needs, and anything else is crap' mindsets... Have a custom design division. Here you go, one all metal, ___, ___, and ___ (fill in your own blanks) $1000. 00 and free shipping. Six weeks from order, to fulfillment, to your door. I like it!

This looks like a winner, but I wish it was 5v. From the sound of everything I've read, is the most ideal vaping voltage. I'm about to invest in either the Silver Bullet or the Prodigy as my next PV. If you improve on this PV, I'll seriously considering purchasing it.

What I really like are the mods where you can use different battery setups to change the voltage. Please look into that and see if you can incorporate it in the Baby J. Give customers the choice whether to vape at 3.7v or 5/6v.

If you could toggle between 3.7v and 5v with a press of a button, use it as a pass through, and have a master on/off switch I think it would be perfect.

I do like really the LED idea because it's right there where I can see it or hide it well. I like to know I have a positive depression of the button and like to get a blink when the battery is dead.

I understand the problems of a company like Janty releasing a 5v mod. Perhaps when you guys go 5v provide a disclaimer with no atomizer warranty.

I think it's a brilliant idea.
