Hey!

Yes, - the initial idea is that it will come set to a factory default. If you then wish to change the LED color, you will plug it into usb, then the LED will flash five times in a row, and if you press the power button once during those five times, you will be in LED select mode.

I believe the choices you have will be red, green, blue, and white - simply press power button once to change, and once youre happy with your choice, unplug usb.

If you plug it into usb, and you do not press the button while the LED flashes 5 times, then it goes out of LED select mode and continues operation as normal!

Geeeezzzz, I'm a geek. I was pretty much sold on this thing already but my inner geek is just screaming for changeable LEDs. 8-o

And no, that is NOT sarcasm.

So the production model ships next week? :hubba:

Hey Mik, I get your point about the myriad of functions on my computer... but I'm not depending on my computer to be satisfying and consistent to use as an alternative to a decades long smoking habit. I'll probably buy the Baby J. But, I'm just forecasting the probable amount of threads and calls for help because: "As soon as I plug in my Baby J I get 5 flashing lights...is this normal?"

Great looking product: sleek and sexy! Implementing multivolt into the product by changing battery housing is nice, clean idea.

I know I'll lose the end cap unless it's tethered...so make replacement caps inexpensive (and perhaps orderable in a 6 pack :))! And since you are going with thermal plastic, I would like to see a few color options.

I think they should get you one of these so you can play around with design concepts and make prototypes faster:

Spectrum Z650, Z Corporation Spectrum Z650, Spectrum Z650 3D Printer, Spectrum z650 System - EMS

I'm sure there is budget for this!

I absolutely love the way this is coming- I haven't read through the whole thread so maybe you answered this question- but where did the name come from? I would name it the Capone or even better "The Don" it reminds me a mafioso style e-cig- if Al Capone was a vaper he would be sucking on the end of this beast. I think if you make this bad boy with the 6v option it will revolutionize the industry just for the fact that it will put a hurt on all these mod makers- which will make these independent modders come-up with something different to stay ahead of the curve which will help bring vaping to the next level. Look how far these e-cigs have come in the little time they've been around- I can only imagine where we'll be a couple years from now. BTW I love the LED idea- it just adds to the coolness of the whole thing. I hope the wait on the Baby J isn't to long because I am really excited for this model! Keep up the good work Mik. Its gonna be a big hit- I hope Janty can keep the price reasonable which I think they will- hopefully around the price of the stick or less would be really nice

Now you're talking. Put the Cameo on hold and get this out ASAP.

It is, and we are ;)

Is the picture posted of the Baby J a rendering or an actual real life pic?

It is a rendering - unfortunately. But i do have some of the other / earlier prototypes of the Baby J here physically with me. They just dont look *that* cool... yet!

Also, Im not talking about the cameo, or baby J specifically- but how long does it take to get from an idea to prototype to production? Just curious on the time line for mass producing e-cigs

Let me put it like this: It can take as little as one month, if everything goes perfect and smooth, or it can end up being a Duke Nukem Forever. Noone knows.
WOW,I rember when this was going to come out. kinda dated yourself Mik:D

The above comment with the toothbrush was a joke. It had a smiley next to it.

This thread is for discussing a product, and its possibilites. If you have any ideas or suggestions about it, we would love to hear it. If you are only going to rant about how we operate as a business - then make a new thread.

And notice, im saying this politely, and asking you politely - so please respond accordingly - but please dont write an a4 page in this thread regarding this answer. If you have an issue with me personally, or with Janty as a company, feel free to mail me or Ludo - we will be happy to respond you.

I apologize, I did not realize it was intended as a joke.

I have COPD and yes I still smoke...but I want desparately to quit and have been researching the e-cig for quite awhile and Im still at odds to what brand to buy what "flavor" or to use "tea bags" or "blow out a cart" or whatever you do to get the plastic or horrible taste out....I live on a fixed income and can't afford to buy something that Im not going to use. I NEED someone to just tell me what works best in plain english and how to get a good one that will provide me with a good TH!!!! PLEASE!! Also can anyone give me info on the "disposable e-cigs" from E-cig 101 that cost about $25?? Thanks in advance.

Karen Jo- your question is kinda on the lines of which vehicle is the best- you ask 10 people and you'll get 10 different answers, also like the auto industry you have many different types of e-cigs. Personally- IMO- I wouldn't go with the disposables. You can get very cheap starter kits that you would be better off getting than something you use once and throw away. As a noob to the e-cig I would recommend a 510 kit. This seems to be the most popular model for people that are just getting into e-cigs and people that have been vaping for awhile. This is the Janty forum so I will not disrespect them by posting info from other companies. Janty is a brand of e-cigs which is personally my favorite commercial e-cig company. They have very good quality products and great customer service and probably one of the best warranties out there. Janty's version of the 510 model is called the Dura-C- I don't personally have one, but I know of the quality of Janty's other products. If you send me a PM (private message- click my user name and click send a private message) I would be glad to give you a couple places where you can look at very good starter kits for a price around what you would pay for a disposable e-cig kit. I definitely would recommend the Janty Dura-C however. Good Luck

This sounds like a very good idea. I'm a stick v2 fan - any news on v3? I'm happy with it as it is, but if I were to dream I'd like it to be set up entirely for kbc drippers - fully sealed. Happy with the plastic (not hot on the hand or heavy). If the babyj was a dripper's paradise using kbc attys then I'd be very happy. Very, very happy! :)
