Hey,

So continuing on our path of enlightenment i now introduce you to:

The "Baby J"

babyjhires1.jpg

The Baby J specs are planned to be - but *CAN* be changed:

Size: approximately that of an E-cigar - in width and length.

Battery: 800-1000 mAH

Atomizer: 801 classic, with adapters being made for other types

Dripping friendly: YES. Completely - and i mean completely sealed

Cleaning friendly: YES. You are able to easily remove the atomizer
cover, and access the entire atomizer screw on area - and clean till you drop. :)

Charging: Built in USB charging - and it is possible to vape while charging ofcourse.

Voltage: It will run at 3.7 volt - just as our other products, as this is ideal for every day vaping - and appeals to a wide range of people.

Material: The materials will be an Ipod type material for everything except the middle part, and the end cap which will both be metal pieces. This can also change, but thats the plan for now.

Button: The button will be a firm dura-c style button.

LED: As you can see on the picture, there will be a kind of semi-circular LED "ring" - this can also change, but we initially are going for this design.

Additional info:

But..I dont see a USB socket?

Unscrew the cap at the end, to reveal the USB port

So... how do i access the battery?

You dont. The battery is the part going from the cap to the middle (button part) - this entire part is removeable - and contains both USB and battery in one unit.

Will it come with more than one battery?

In all likelyhood we will include an extra battery house in the package you buy - making for a total of two battery houses.

Can the battery houses be charged independently of the rest of the device?

Yes. You are able to unscrew the battery house, and attach it to USB and let it charge by itself.

Are there plans to implement other battery houses containing higher voltages?

This is something we are looking into, but its uncertain at this point.

------------

Let me know what you think guys!

/Mik

That is a nice design.....I know I have seen it somewhere......I just cant remember.....http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/modders-forum/27880-yet-another-laser-pointer-mod.html

Like others have posted, I much prefer this to the Cameo.
At the risk of getting shot apart, I'll admit that I didn't read every one of the posts here, and if I'm asking a repetative question, I apologize in advance. But what are the chances of something like this coming out in a higher voltage? Although I am the proud owner of the Stick, I'm also quite addicted to the benefits of vaping at 5 or 6 volts. Combining the good looks of the Baby J with a 5 or 6 volt battery(s) would put me in vaping heaven. Either that, or a different innovative idea from Janty using the higher voltage would also excite me.
So.... what are the chances?

Janty is a hard core believer in 3.7v and Mik pointed out earlier that the first round would be 3.7v .... but he didn't rule out the concept of Janty making a higher volt batt unit to attach.

I'm sure glad to see that it isn't just PTJD and me that would like to see a higher voltage unit from Janty. I also realize that the preference at the home office might be 3.7 volt. But simple logic and math tells me that if there is a large market for a product that you have the ability to fill, and you feel reasonably certain that you can capture a goodly percentage of that market, and you are being asked by long time customers to jump into that market...
OK....Maybe I'm just being greedy here, but knowing that the Janty name was going to be on a product that I was interested in, would make me want to jump to the head of the line.
I doubt that it's just a few of us that are interested in something like this. The 5 and 6 volt market is growing by leaps and bounds. It's what the consumer wants right now in the vaping community, and I for one, would like to see Janty jump in with both feet in a big way!
Thanks for letting me ramble here Mik. :p

yup... have been contributing to the relief efforts for the victims of the Manila floods.

Here is what Janty would like to launch very soon:
- Tiny version of "work title: baby J"
This little Dura ato based and manually operated device will have the same length as a DURA cig.

December:
-The "work title: baby J"
5 Volt or multi Volt powered work horse

-The "work title: Janty Stick XL"
Multi Volt powered work horse

In the pipe line:
-Multi batt charger hub

- personalized accessories for all our products

I'll leave it to Mik to let you in on more details :)

I hope that XL isn't for Xtra Large. I think the current form factor is perfect for use and carrying (with some tweaks maybe). Looking forward to it anyway. I think Janty's way ahead of the game with the integrated USB power and I just can't figure out why every vaper has not realized the genius of this innovation. The (IMO) minor advantages to higher voltage pale in comparison to the universally available power source.

Hey guys,

sorry about the long wait - i got strucky by a ninja-flu out of nowhere.. gruah. But im back, and even though im sniffling a bit, ill do my best to answer another round of questions ;)

----

can you do a video of it working? or even better A REVIEW lol

I will once we get to that point!

WOW,I rember when this was going to come out. kinda dated yourself Mik

(in regard to my Duke Nukem Forever mention) - YES! ;) And im proud to be born in the age of the computer! Heck i grew up with a c64.. mmm.. i miss my breadbox.

Mik, it's been quiet on this thread....any more info to drool by on the-J??????

Yes... oh wait you want me to tell you more? =)

his sounds like a very good idea. I'm a stick v2 fan - any news on v3? I'm happy with it as it is, but if I were to dream I'd like it to be set up entirely for kbc drippers - fully sealed. Happy with the plastic (not hot on the hand or heavy). If the babyj was a dripper's paradise using kbc attys then I'd be very happy. Very, very happy!

The Baby J will be a dripping unit - it will be usable for filters as well, but it IS made for drippers, in terms of usability, enclosure etc.

That is a nice design.....I know I have seen it somewhere......I just cant remember.....Yet another laser pointer mod

Whoa, that does look similar. I wasnt aware of the laser pointer mod - i rarely have time to browse around the net with my many things to do, so it IS actually a mad coincidence that it looks somewhat similar to it. However, i designed mine completely 110% from my own mind, without any external references - his is a mod using other cylindrical based items: I mean, there are only so many different shapes you can do within these limits before stuff begins to look alike. ;)

But what are the chances of something like this coming out in a higher voltage?

With the addon battery house: Big!

Either that, or a different innovative idea from Janty using the higher voltage would also excite me.
So.... what are the chances?

We will bring an additional innovation to the table if stuff continues as we wish it to - but i cant comment on it yet!

Where's the vibrate function?

In your hand

Wish Janty had a 5 volt unit.

One, and possibly more, are coming - again cant comment more on those yet!

My next PV will be a high voltage, and I would really like it if Janty provided one.

Good! =)

I was being sarcastic about the color thing. Of course it's the exact same thing or at least appears extremely similar.

Yes. They do look similar again. They are both cylindrical, have a button, and a battery + an atomizer. I think mine is nicer though :D.

Also, i need to add to you all:

Remember that as stated in this thread we are NOT telling you that we will prdouce the Baby J now, or .. even produce it at all. We are very optimistic about it - and we ARE working on making it. Several prototypes have been made already and it seems to be working as it should.

I just want to stress the above - it is nice to be able to tell you guys about the product, but at the same time i dont want you all to feel that "now ive said this and that so now this product HAS to come within one week or you will get mad!" .. cause, thats not why this thread is here.

So keep the above in mind - and let me add a bit more info to the thread:

We are making a mini version of this one also - which might come out soon - we are *planning* to produce it within the next 14 days, so as soon as i get a bit more info together, i will post something about this.
