Hey Angus,

Its too early to say yet to be honest, - but i know the prototype has a 250 mAH battery.

The whole idea behind the Ego is not to have a long duration vaping device, but more of a "I love using this in public" thing.

I mean, alot of people love their jantysticks, and dura-c's but we still have alot of people who want something more designed , so to speak - and this is one for them.

But, again, all this could change - i will post a thread about it, when im allowed to ;)

I agree about the USB .. When I first purchased my JantyStick I was NOT real happy. I am like a ferret and love shiny things. Any way .. I have 3 Janty Sticks now .. One is sort of missing .. But I keep one in the car, one at my office and the other in the palm of my hand most of the time. When I want "pretty and/or flashy" I use my Silver Bullet .. When I want something I can roll my car over, I use my GGT .. I named that "Tonka" because it is built like a Tonka truck or tank ! But if I have to sell all but one .. I would keep my JantyStick triplets because of the USB .. Another reason for JantyStick over anything else is the no leak atomizer part .. What I find odd is I had another PV that used the same battery .. same atty .. Didn't get the same vape .. weird ..

Perhaps others have figured this out and its been posted before but I figured I would share this anyway.

So like others on here my JS switch does not work sometimes. I either have to press it down really hard or use a fingernail to get the membrane switch to work.

Membrane switches are incredibly simple by design. The one in the JS is basically a metal star shaped disc that sits over 5 gold contacts arranged in a circle. 4 on the outer rim and one in the middle. (If that makes sense)

I simply peeled off the thick black plastic "tape" revealing the disc and gold contacts underneath, positioned the disc so its perfectly centered on the contacts and applied a neatly cut piece of black electrical tape instead of the thick black plastic with the "molded" button it comes with. I am not sure but it seemed as if the disc was not centered which may explain why some people feel their switch has a "sweet spot" and maybe that's what was wrong with mine.

Now the switch works PERFECTLY every time and there is a nice positive tactile feel when I press it. MUCH lighter pressure as well. Probably TOO light in fact that I will have to make sure its in the case when I slide it into my pocket now to prevent accidental activation.

The electrical tape is much thinner than the plastic and allows the switch to click down to make contact much easier. Not as pretty and I imagine I would have to replace the tape every few weeks but at least it works well now.

A few words of caution,

Once the OEM plastic tape is peeled off there is no turning back. You cant reapply it.

I am pretty sure this would void the warranty so do this at your own risk

Like I said, electrical tape is much thinner so the switch can easily be activated while in a pocket or purse much like the SEND key on your cell-phone so be careful not to "pocket vape" ;)

So, what keeps the disk contacts away from the base contacts when you let your finger off? I.e., how does it shut off?

The contact is a thin metallic, concave disk that requires pressure to *bend* and make the electrical circuit. Removing pressure causes the disk to retract to its normal shape and break the circuit. The center contact is the feed from the battery. The four *legs* of the disk are the leads that go the atomizer. The circuit to the atomizer is made when any of the four *legs* contact the center post through the metallic disk.

(the minus of the battery is always connected to the atty -- the positive is switched)

Hey guys.

Sorry been REALLY busy.

Yes its a LED light - not a reflection. I will make a color vid soon.

Right now we are contemplating the following:

Making adapters so all atomizers fit on the Twinbox - AND - making adapters so all batteries fit on it too (Janty batteries that is).

So hopefully this just might make it even more interesting.. - but this is not a promise, - i will keep you all posted! ;)

- oh and as for the price, i cant say yet im afraid. I can only say that the initial idea is that it will be low cost.

Mik, what is the mah rating of a KB battery? It seems to me that two KB batteries in parallel would be less than the 10440 in the JS. But, it does look like an efficient way of utilizing old Janty parts/batteries for those of us that have moved onto mods. TIA.

Email sent. I asked a question in the email, but thought it was worthy to ask here as well in case other forum members had the same question...

Any thought to making this available for DURA/510 users?

Thanks!

EDIT: oops, just saw this: "Making adapters so all atomizers fit on the Twinbox - AND - making adapters so all batteries fit on it too (Janty batteries that is)." Here's one vote for "Yes, please!" :)
