No. Not everyone may think of it as a con I guess. I'm just used to grabbing my tanks in the middle and screwing them on my mod. I

Is it really that hard to unscrew the tank from the mod otherwise?? I use alot of side-by-side mods where the tank sits reccessed in the mod. So can't really unscrew them by gripping the bottom. Would be a shame if I can't use mine (2 enroute) in these mods.

A question for those that have this tank already in hand and own multiple Augvape tanks.

Do you consider this rta to be durable?
I've seen complaints about previous Augvape products that fail rather quickly due to being "cheaply manufactured".

Either way I don't mind too much since while I'm using these my others will be getting less wear and tear.

Most of my rta's are kayfuns or Genny's and all have stood up well over time and all are still functional, also never an issue to acquire spare parts.
Two Alleria and a Merlin.

They're durable. I wouldn't back my truck over them, but they're not going to split into two pieces in my pocket.

FWIW, the merlin is machined much smoother than the alleria all around.

You're likely going to have a bad time. Twisting the atty from anywhere besides the base simply spins the juice control around and around.

Perhaps someone has an easy workaround that doesn't involve gluing the juice control in one position.

Can anyone help me? I live in the UK and I cannot find any vendors selling the merlin, do you if any of these sites will ship to the UK?
I copied this from Eciggity.com
We currently ship to the U.S. (excluding Arkansas due to ACT 1453 effective July 21st 2015), Guam, Puerto Rico, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, New Zealand, and Australia.
So yes they do ship to UK. But you're probably better off going with fasttech.

Finally got mine built [emoji4] Yup, even a squonkhead gives it a thumbs up. I do vape the regular way sometimes [emoji28]

Easy to set up, quality made for the price and produces a nice tasty vape. No leaking or dry hits. Would place it second place behind the Hurricane in my tank arsenal. Will get another.

3mm coils are pretty much the standard for me now. I started doing spaced coils for temp control and they are just so easy and worry free I use spaced coils for everything now TC or kanthal. You never have to worry about hot spots or pinching and tweaking like with contact coils and I just personally think they vape and wick better. Steam engine has a web site that can tell you exactly how many wraps you need and more.

(ill expect the hatemail for my comments below though)

Because i dont know why tweezer people still even exist. 14 months ago i built my one and only contact coil, after being told i should try it because contact coils are what proper vapers use, previously as a newbie i started on spaced kanthal coils (long before i switched to tc)....what a pain in the ..... Tore the thing out after 5 minutes of fiddling with tweezers and got my spaced back on. 14 months later ive yet to find a reason why to do anything other than spaced. People ask me often why i dont have issues with my builds....spaced. I havent even test/dry fired a coil in over 6 months. Wrap a spaced 3mm coil (using 316ss these days exclusively, until i can source some 430), fit to deck, wick, fill, go. Such is my simple vape life.

Am looking forward to the Merlin...ordering one today! - waited till sunday because the misleading people at FT made everyone and me think the 15% off sale was storewide, but it looks like its 15% off the stuff lost in the farthest corners of their warehouse the rats wont even touch...

Ack! Well that might just kill them for me :( I will give one a try and leave the other in the box, might have to sell them again, luckily I got them for only $18 when FT made the mistake to put MAP on them. Darn, was really looking forward for these.

Spaced coils is all I use. I get more flavor that way...

I have multiple Boreas and now Merlins. I would consider bother durable. They have great threads and are solidly machined.

I agree 100%. I have 3 Boreas, with another on the way, and one Merlin. Another Merlin on the way , as well.

    Two Alleria and a Merlin.

They're durable. I wouldn't back my truck over them, but they're not going to split into two pieces in my pocket.

Yup, even a squonkhead gives it a thumbs up.

Cool, thanks for the affirmations there guys...my first try with Augvape products, although I'm intrigued with their multiple tank designs, I think the Merlin will suit my needs best.

FT made everyone and me think the 15% off sale was storewide, but it looks like its 15% off the stuff lost in the farthest corners of their warehouse the rats wont even touch...

I got drawn in by that too! Cancelled that order from FT. They have Sunday sales every weekend.

    great, thanks.
the alleria looks fun! more glassy but not more classy!
