What didn't you like about the notch coil? I have not tried them yet.3-3.5mm. Works well. I don't like the notch coils.

Wondering if anyone could share experience on how they feel it compares flavor wise to something like the Serpent Mini. I like the mini for its size but gave up juice capacity because of it. Wondering if the Merlin may be a good compromise, added juice capacity without sacrificing flavor.
They aren't bad persay, just not my thing. They crust up fairly quick and need to be rewicked more frequently. I'd rather build my own which is why I got into rebuilding in the first place. Tailor your vape .What didn't you like about the notch coil? I have not tried them yet.
Yeah I read all the rules & figured I would just keep the Theorem.OK what a PITA but check the classies
You know I agree with you been using SS316L and the SX's handle it just fine using the correct TCR .00092 but might try this Merlin with a Ti coil in it. It does TC just fine but doesn't taste as good as my STM's. I was a straight Ti user for a year all I do is TC but this atty tasted better with the SS in power mode and I didn't spend the money on what is IMO the best TC mods available to use straight power. Oh and just got my first Q class today damn it is beautiful and hits a little harder then my ML or M's. Really makes my flavors pop.The NOTCH coils seem to have two camps, both real user reports, and reviewers. Seems like a LOVE/HATE, or a few "over hyped" comments.
Once I learned that the Merlin post screws can easily cut through the small gauge non-resistance wires (lost two that way), I used the Wismec notch coils purchased separately. They seemed to be identical in ID. I removed their included cotton wick, and used Rayon, since my first cotton build LEAKED. No leaks yet, by blocking the juice holes as I've reported earlier in this thread.
These SS notch coils are listed as .23 ohms, my new RX75 reads them at .25 ohms, close enough.
No spitting, flooding, leaking, just tons of thick vapor. On this mod I've lowered my TEMP to 430f, at 35 watts. So while my results are GREAT, not sure why many don't like them?
I prefer to make all my own coils with titanium wire, and as a mostly TC vapor, am not a big fan of SS, as it has a low TCR value. But with that said, these notch coils are working GREAT in TC mode.
Sad to say, I doubt I'll get hooked on them, as after the money grabbing FDA regs go into effect, all these prebuilt coils will be ILLEGAL in the USA. That's why I'm stocking up on RTA's, and RBA's for my little tanks.
Give the NOTCH a try, if you love them, STOCK UP, black market prices on BANNED products will most likely be more $$$$!
Sweet!
for some reason just not getting the flavor i was expecting out of this tank? have tried different builds used the airflow reducer just not getting the flavor i get from serpent mini or even the subtank mini with rba .....really wanna like this tank ...love the look love the build deck love the size ....just cant seem to get the flavor Im used to? what the heck im i doing wrong or is it a lost cause?
. Think I spoke to soon ....I believe it was my wicking (wasn't using enough) now that I got the wicking completely in wick holes and just got a single 24 g nichrome at .5 or so it's tasting great .....side by side with serpent mini can't really tell difference in taste ...they both taste great ...I do have the airhole reducer in otherwise I find it to airy but that's just me ....It would help if we knew what you are doing, like what kind of coil, what ohms, wattage, MTL or direct inhale, how are you wicking, what material are you wicking with etc. I'm sure somebody can help you out. This tank was and is made for flavor.
Awesome brother! It goes to show how many different ways to wick there is.. Try raising your coil up to just below the top posts. Read that over at the other place. I tried it & it worked, I'm getting better flavor about the same as my Serpent mini now.for some reason just not getting the flavor i was expecting out of this tank? have tried different builds used the airflow reducer just not getting the flavor i get from serpent mini or even the subtank mini with rba .....really wanna like this tank ...love the look love the build deck love the size ....just cant seem to get the flavor Im used to? what the heck im i doing wrong or is it a lost cause?
