Is this thing more for TC than raw power? I can wick the Billow, Billow 2, Billow 3, Griffin, Gemini, Aromamizer, Lemo, Lemo 2, Avocado, and the Bachelor and never get a dry hit while chain vaping at 40 +. Yes, chain vaping is important. I only get 10 min breaks so I need something that's going to be able to keep up with 70 30.This thing is dry hit city. What am I missing? I don't wanna trash it but sheesh. I'm at my wits end.

I'm a little concerned that the Merlin may be just a bit too airy for me, even with the insert.

It is for me as you probably saw in my post. It's not just a bit too airy, it's a lot too airy for me. I have a sophia in a carto tank and the draw is perfect for MTL but I can't get that with the Merlin's reducer and it is one of the reasons I bought one. For subohm/DL and flavor, it's awsum. Is there anybody here that can help me with this airy reducer? Maybe put a reducer in the reducer. :p:facepalm: Any ideas?

ricks has the airflow completely closed on his and said was working good for MTL, have you tried that?

I am MTLing a 1.6ohm clapton coil at 16 watts on mine and is a good vape, but admit I like a more airy MTL vape than most people.

Hey Nailz. :) Yes I had the airflow completely closed. It was so airy, all I got was a wisp of vapor and no flavor.

Yep, orings are in place but I only tried the reducer on one Merlin. I have 2 SS and I don't know which one I tried it on. The other one might be just fine. In the meantime I'm working on a work around. I'm going to use some SS mesh as a reducer reducer.

Build pic? I can take 10 pulls without any dryness. I don't normally vape that way, but that's how I see if my wicking is correct with a new tank.

Anyone who has the loose airflow ring problem email the vendor and they should send you a new base. I emailed eciggity and they sent out a new base the same day.

Eciggity has always been great to deal with. When my top seal in my Bachelor failed, they told me to contact Ehpro. After Ehpro told me to buy a new tank, Eciggity got me a seal with an apology.

Apparently this thing doesn't like 3.5 ID coils. I had a huge 316l SS coil. 24 guage, 13 wraps. I guess I was still in Bachelor mode and that humongous stock coil they tossed in. Anyway, I put a Clapton build in and it's doing fine. Now I can take this thing to work with no worries. Thank you all for your input and advice.

I've had mine over a week without a dry hit. When your wicking it you maybe blocking the juice holes, make sure your Wick does not cover the holes, fan out the wick so it spreads out over the base but does not cover the holes.

There's been talk that some are so loose that when you set it down or pick it up that it opens and closes on its own. I had one that wouldn't move but i took it apart, cleaned it and put it back together and it worked. There's some out there that may be defective, if you contact the seller they are swapping them out.
