Sure did. By accident. Scraps right off with a thumbnail. It started by washing it in my ultrasonic cleaner. I know it cleans my tanks really well. But I didn't expect it to take the film off the tank.

I just took a razor blade and scraped mine off. Came off easily and looks better.Sure did. By accident. Scraps right off with a thumbnail. It started by washing it in my ultrasonic cleaner. I know it cleans my tanks really well. But I didn't expect it to take the film off the tank.

I find my 2 Merlins sipping nicely. My Kaufuns were more thirsty.is the Merlin thirsty? My Griffin 25, limitless rdta is thirsty as hell
The coloring in theirs is integrated into the glass. I have run them through th UC many times.I've bought some colored glass from here before:
Spectrum's Tankapalooza - Hyper Color Pyrex Tanks and Tips for RBA's and More!
Perhaps I'll write them to see if their coatings would survive an ultrasonic cleaner. Their glass is not cheap, so one would hope it's better made?
No response yet from STS about returning my "lemon" Merlin.![]()

Great quality of glass.
Even with the wrong o-rings in the air control...This tank performs.

Loose air control ring and very loose draw. What's the best way to know/test if one has the right oring?
I have sent him a device before & he will match it to an existing glass, as in my case, or make them if there is adequate demand. Thanks, finally someone who knows what they are talking about. They seem to keep up with new models, so for anyone complaining about their cheap colored glass chipping or coming off, you have to pony up to the glass that's properly made. Why am I not surprised that inexpensive Chinese products don't perform up to our spoiled standards?
The pieces fit together easy enough and you should fell the drag of the o-ring if not lubed. What's the best way to know/test if one has the right oring?

It will have no any slack, fits taunt.
For what we are using them for they got it easy and are quite forgiving, a lot of times you can go up or down a size with no problems (id)
