I'm finding that SS wire in these gunk up faster than kanthal. I'm trying kanthal again to compare
Hopefully it's not a knockoff.I found an article in Chinese site comparing 4 rta, to my surprise, the Merlin rta being compared has a short tank.

Anyone knows where to get this?

The site is in Chinese, so it probably is. But China is #1 at ripping off patents and ideas.....a stumpy tank that's dual coiled....with the capacity of a Serpent Mini. Yeah, that's sounds swell.

Anyone know how many RTA makers actually manufacture their tanks in the USA? I don't think I've come across one yet, but I haven't really looked too much.
I would love a USA made Merlin with real smoked glass.![]()
Incorrect. The only thing that governs how much power to put into a coil is coil mass.My understanding is: for the same size and dimension, SS coil always has lower resistence compare to kanthal coil and thus in order to warm juice to the same level, you will need to pump more power to the SS coil, this means more jucie will be vaporized and more gunk created.
I have been using nothing but rayon for almost a month with no issues. I use it in all my rta/rda (boht TC and VW) builds. I like it way better than cotton. Takes a little more work to trim the tails up just right but everything else about it is >>> cotton IMO.Rayon wicks like a champ on the Merlin. The only remaining question i have is this stuff I come across here and there that it causes throat irritation over time among some people.

Is it flooding? One thing I've noticed is that bubbles jump out of Merlin's juice holes with rayon while with cotton they slowly come out.... No matter how i wick the cotton.

I don't think I've ever flooded Mr. Merlin. Running Clapton .85 ohms ATM. Tight wicking in the coil and feathered out to the bottom of the well.
