I've been using koh gen doh cotton( I think that's how you spell it) on all of my tanks. I'm not really sure why I didn't have seeping and do now but it's the same on both of the merlins that I have in rotation. I have a couple more in storage and haven't tried those yet.

I spoke too soon. The Merlin leaked overnight. It's not dripping down the sides or anything but it's about the same amount as the RxW leak. I'm getting an Engine Nano tomorrow and if that works out well then I shall officially retire The Merlin.

The Augvape Merlin is my favorite RTA.
I definitely love it. I have some high class RTAs like Taifun GT III or kayfun V5, but at the end of the day the Merlin is my favorite.
and i use it with a thinner glass drip tip, i do not like the original one too much.

About leaking: i use 3 (2 SS one black). one has no leakage at all, a second one "swearts" on the buttom between base and AFC ring a little, the third a little more.
It seems some vapor gets through the afc ring and condensates on the top of your atty.

I can live with that little sweat.
the amount of sweat varies with the liquids i use (more water in e-juice, more condense sweat) but it is acceptable for me.

i love the ease of coiling and wicking, i love the ease of handling, i love the look and the build quality and i love the descent flavor i can get out of my Merlins. The flavor is comparable to high end RTAs like Vapor Giant 4 and kayfun5, imho. of course the flavor on an RTA always depends on the quality of your own coiling and wicking, but it is not really hard to get really good flavor out of the Merlin.

I am really fascinated that such a cheapo like the Merlin can compete with some RTAs of the +100$ range and can beat them in some aspects.

:)

Vape on!

I think the Merlin is a great tank as well, and I've been blessed with no leaking. Having said that, I wouldn't totally stock up on tanks and replacement parts of a single tank design for my vapocalypse stash. I personally feel safer with an assortment of well performing stuff and have the risk spread out. There do appear to be problems for some with the press fit base. While you an I may not have experienced that, there is no way to be sure all 12 Merlins in your stash will performs as well as the first two that are dry. I've been going with doubles on my favorite tanks for my stash with trios on a few favorites that should stand the test of time.

BTW, along with all those spare parts you already laid in, you might as well throw some extra grub screws in now as well as long as you're thinking replacement parts.
I do have around 100 of the grub screws.
The Merlin is not the only tank and parts I have stocked up on. It is just the one I have stocked up on the most. I figure with the amount of spare tanks I have, and moderate mechanical abilities to replace broken parts, I should be able to keep at least one going for a long time. I have around 50 total tanks and around 30 RDA in my stash. Plus about 25 regulated mods, and 20 mechs, and various spare parts.

    Somewhere between here and there
Who did you order it from?

I ordered it from cigabuy when they had them on sale in January. I've never had a problem from them in the past. I have received two other orders placed after this one. This one just got lost evidently.

And for those of you concerned about the fine job our postal system does, I got this gem today. I ordered some 26650s back in September (IMR? Illum? whoever is in CA). Got them in 4 days. Standard excellent service as always. Today I get this email.

And I'm like Great! I love vape mail. But I don't have any outstanding orders that I remember. I search my emails for the tracking number to see what goody is heading my way. It's the tracking number for the batteries I already received back in September.
