The weather here is rain every day and Hot and Humid the rest of the time so all painting is on hold.
Here is the 5 Volt using a Texas Instruments TO220-3 Regulator. Also has a Black Horn style switch. And uses two 14500 in series.

Hits very good. :w00t:

Tight fit in there going 5 volts but can be done. Thanks again Sassyblondeinwa.

Nice Connman. But do you miss your juice feed??
Did you just glue the top cover on? You don't have to show pics of the guts that way.
I took one apart the way you showed but haven't messed with it yet. Came apart really clean. Good tip. Say hi to your sis.

It`s actually pretty basic under the hood. But yes that baby isn`t coming back apart without a grinder. JB welded everything up there.
I would have taken pictures but it really wouldn`t have showed much. Like I first JB welded the battery springs in place let that get hard then once I set the switch and battery/atty connector in there soldered up all my points to the regulator it was JB weld everywhere at the same time to keep it all in place without touching anything to get a short. A true do it right or it`s junk method.

It all metered out good at the end so no shorts.
If there would have been I`d of had a paperweight for sure with no chance to fix it.
I could do a drawing up on the layout in there on what it should look like?

Have used it all day and it really seems like a good 5 volt hit. I`d say better then the 4 pin regulator produced. But every new mod I make seems to hit better then the last.
as far as missing the juice feeder don`t miss it at all since it is also being used.
Help I`m surrounded by mods

"Say hi to your sis"
Sure will

its this one right?
Shop Watts 1/4" Compression Sleeve at Lowes.com
but where do i find it? is it electrical components? what the heck is it for?

They would be in the plumbing section along with the compression fittings. Its basicly a crush ring. It slides over tubing (copper, plastic, etc) then into a fitting, the fitting is then tightened and the ring gets crushed over the tubing making a seal.

Where was it used on connmans mod ? I never saw it mentioned.

Hi Dubs58,
misterD is actually referring to the mod my sister made for me (Nico-Drip 5 Volt) and not my Duracell mod. I realized that when I looked at the link posted.

And thanks for saying what they are for and where to find them I totally missed that part of the question being so late.

there you are! but i thought you used it in here, Connman!!
is it used to catch some eventual leakage? thats what it is for, right?

Yes it is used for stopping leakage from running amuck. Works great for that. I did actually have it work for that on my Nico-Drip at 5 Volts 2 times now.
Although my sister is the one using this idea we came up with. forget how we came up with that but she snagged my ferrules now I used to own but couldn`t find a use for.
I bet they would sound cool shot in the air with a sling shot though as well.

I just wanted to toss this info up to you all as well. I found that fingernail polish remover will remove the Duracell lettering off these boxes. Did not seem to do anything other then remove the lettering. :thumb:

Ya Conn, fingernail polish is acetone based and should flash off fairly fast. wont hurt to neutralize it after using though. also lighter fluid will work for most adhesive type removal.:D
