their new....their awesome....their a step up......
.....and i'm sure i'm not the only one chain vaping 'em because of the upgraded options. if your new to this like me i have a hard time putting these down because the uniqueness is so fascinating. so until we get back to our comfort zones remember.....

  • they will NOT last forever
  • they are supposed to be equivalent to a pack of analogs
  • depending on the type of anaolog'r or vaper you are will determine their estimated life.
  • an analog is anywhere from 12-15 draws so lets use 15x20=300 draws (potentially 300 draws) i picked 15 because i would draw my analogs to the hilt.
  • given the battery life is shorter....once you start getting minimal TH and flavor.....switch to a charged battery OR if you have been keeping track your gut instinct SHOULD kick in and tell ya it's time for a refill.
  • since the Premo carto had its power output tweaked the "formula" was also adjusted since more power is needed to take a part of that "formula" and give you a better visual.
  • moderation
Some races unfortunately are won by gas mileage. makes for a boring "no contest" challenge BUT, a win is a win and if your keeping track you will come across the finish line every time. Not keeping track will leave you stranded out there with a terrible finishing position AFTER the tow truck tows you back to the garage.

Does anyone know why we cannot "genrically swear" here; I mean, I totally understand not calling a person something, but if it's something generic, or saying I'm *bleeping* tired, why does it matter?

it's just tactful. it's a forum for evolution. ya can't let it turn into a haven for drunken sailors.

I would like to hear from anyone that has actually gotten 300 drags out of a carto. Even when i was using a stock battery i was only getting about 100/150 and that was with the old cartos. With the premiums on a HV mod im lucky to get 50.

And i would consider a drag one in which you inhale. All those primer puffs don't count.

I think there aren't many vendors who try to claim a carto = a pack of cigs anymore; iirc, it's typically said to be equivalent to 5 to 7 cigs, including by some of our own experts around the forums. No way a pack, or even close.

5-7 is right for cartridge models, like a 510, or penstyle, but cartomizers are really close to a pack. Although I haven't tested the regulars in a while, I used to get up to 300 2-3 second inhalations from a regular cartomizer (with 1ml of liquid) and I just tested one of the preemies yesterday and got about 225.

Primer puffs do count, in one sense. They do use battery power and juice. But I don't count them either in my puff counts. But the important variable is how long you inhale. I usually do 2-3 second inhalations for official counts, similar to a real cigarette. Or, sometimes to make it go faster, I just do 5-second drags and multiply by two. If you are basing your count on 5 second drags, then remember that you won't get 12-15 5-second drags per cigarette, more like 7-8. IF you don't choke to death trying, that is. ;)

It really depends on how long your single inhalation lasts. When I first started vaping I tried to vape just like I used to smoke: 10 to 12 drags per cigarette (by the way, I make tiny primer puffs on an analog too, funny) and a break. One regular cartomizer gives me at least 15 of such sessions (tiny primer, longer drag, pause x 10 or 12) using V4L shorty and reg batteries. So my calculations seem to match Leaford's exactly.

Pemiums are different; they seem to lose their flavor and vapor output sooner, and they drain my batteries much faster. Room for improvement?

Oh my, didn't even know that was the estimate V4L has for cartos!! :p

Lady Blackhawk!!!! :D :D :D

Are you a fellow comic geek?

<lol> kinda sorta....i never collected them but, i actually read up more on the story lines through wikipedia. i do look for images for posting purposes. i just came across "Lady B" by dumb luck. my last SERIOUS quest was when i created "Captain Britain" for the game "Heroscape".

i actually read a lot of the military themed comics.

LMAO our recent ComicCon here at the Buffalo Library was an EPIC FAILURE and those were my one daughters words.

i am....a geek though.

I love my premiums as well. I also don't think a carto can be equivalent to a whole pack of cigarettes. If I am vaping an 8mg carto it's got a lot less nic than a 36mg one... So I figure, the lower the mg the more I can puff on it...lol...

I was smoking right at 15 packs of Marboro Lights a week. The first week (Exactly 7 days), I used 21 carts and no analogs. Half were 18mg, half were 11mg. At this rate, each cart was equal to .71 packs. the next couple of weeks, I used mostly 11mg with a few 8mg carts and went through about 30 a week.

It makes sense that if I used a higher nic level cart I would go through less carts. Therefore, one cart equaling one pack is only true if you vape a high enough nic level.

Too much math....I going to drip a while and think about it.
