It seems unlikely that i have managed to vape 4ml of juice is 6 hours.

If you were vaping for 6 hours then you could have gone through 4ml of juice with a vivi nova. I use the 3.5ml vivi novas and would easily vape that much if vaping for 6 hours.

You may have some small seepage going on - that can be from it not being threaded quite right when screwed on, as some-one else mentioned.
There are different types of clearos - the vivi novas are a clearo tank. I've been vaping over 9 months now, and while I like cartomizers I prefer the vivi novas.

Just based off the last part of your statement i guess you will not ever be doing any business with anyone, anywhere on the planet. I say this because manufacturers and retailers know EVERY single product they sell will have a roughly 5% defect rate. they plan for this and most retailers will take appropriate action when, and if you complain. The reality of it is most customer will never say a word for something they think to be inexpensive." Such defects are a result of mass amounts of products produced on machines. This is OK because who cares about 5% of 1 million products?

you should perhaps concern yourself with how the person you bought whatever item

Both Vivi Novas leaked the day I got them.
No throat hit either.
A couple more for the garbage pile.
I figure any company who knowingly sells products which are defective I won't be dealing with again.

I would also like to say that i hold no ill will towards gotvapes. I sent them a message about this and received a response within 15 minutes of sending it...Which i should add is past "normal" working hours in texas at the time i sent it. I think texas is what 3 hours behind the east coast? so it was just past 5:30 there.

I have noticed the same thing with my mini nova....it will drink juice faster than my BF downs a beer at 5pm on a Friday. However, I have never had a problem with dry hits as some people have mentioned, so I'm not complaining.

Have you checked the bottom threads to make sure its screwed on straight (like others posted about)? Or did the GV email give you any suggestions? I'm curious myself about what is causing the leaking.

LOL ... quoted for truth!!! My mini's are juice hogs ... but they don't leak, or dry hit (as long as the wicks are wet when the juice is low). The only change I made at all was to start using the 2.4 Stardust coils in my Novas (tight fit, but it works). I like the one thicker wick better than the 4 thinner wicks. This is just personal preference for taste, not function. They work just fine on the actual Nova wicks too.

I absolutely prefer the taste over Carto-tanks, no question.

YMMV, everyone is different and everyone tastes things differently :)

Greetz BD.

My purchase was not from GV, nor do I have any issue with the vendor, but the manufacturer of the Vivi Nova which has been confirmed to not have been a knockoff. Both leak like sieves.

A lot of people hate on cartomizers because they don't quite know how to properly prime them and keep them primed. But ask any veteran vaper if they prefer clearos to cartomizers and you might be surprised at their reply.

Like I always say, clearos work great... for a while.

It's this "great" period that seduces vapers. It's the week later, when all their equipment fails on them, that they hit up the clearos subforum with a "my [x] isn't/is doing/burn/wick/draw/is leaking" post.

Haha. Exact problem I'm having now. I've had my vivi novas a little over two weeks each. I've cleaned them and rebuilt them a couple of times. So I know what I'm doing when I put them back together. Both have just started to leak from the bottom post like clockwork. It's frustrated me so much that I'm looking at alternatives now. I prefer the flavor on my small smokeless image cartomizers so I guess it's in order that I try a carto/tank setup now.

If they sold you Vision Vivi Novas that leak like sieves.... Yes, you do have an issue with the vendor. They should agree to replace those if you notify them. This is not something that happens to Novas. They are defective and any reputable vendor will rectify this.

Hey X P3 ...

I would, but after vaping on them for a while (while scotch-tape leak-plugged) I don't want them, there is nothing I like about them. In fact they represent everything I don't want. I could blow a few bucks on packaging and return-postage plus an hour of my time ... I'm much happier to be rid of them. Besides, I'll end up with 2 new leakers and the story never ends.

I could bottom crazy-glue them ... that would be the better of the options anywho.

I guess I'm in the first week/love it category right now. I haven't had leaking problems and the vape is satisfactory. I get good throat hit on a 2.8 coil at 3.4v on my Provari. 3.7v is a little high in throat hit for me (being an ultra light smoker in the past). I vape Boge cartos at 3.7v to 4.2v. Go figure.

I can see how the plastic threads being worn by the metal over time could contribute to leaks. The parts are available separately and I guess that's why it's called a rebuildable tank. For $2.95 you can buy new tubes to go with the metal parts. I have 6 new wicks in my stash. I guess after reading this thread, I need to keep a couple of replacement tanks on hand. That's cheaper than spending $12.95 every time it starts leaking.

The O-seal at the bottom is way too thin -- doesn't cup, doesn't seat well at all, be it the plastic or metal tank.

Cutting/stamping a new wider seal from either tire tube or EPDM rubber would work quite fine ... as might some elastic bands and cyanoacrylate-based compounds. I'd favor cementing it.
