I appologize if anybody feels that I was directing anything at them.

As a contributing supplier, I can say that we donated to add to the fun. It wasn't a business move. (Not to say that it isn't good to get our name out there, that's always a plus, and much appreciated!) I'm okay with however those running the show may choose to distribute our donation. I'll pass on the rusty car.
I firmly believe that the hosts were absolutely not trying to slight anyone. Some may not have received what they wanted, but is that really what this was about? Does calling the people out who did the work to make it happen accomplish anything other than to turn a good thing into something ugly or to be hurtful to the hosts? Sometimes it is the graceful thing to do to simply say thanks and maybe say to someone at your home "Poo, I was really hoping for that [insert prize here]!" I hate that the ones who provided the fun are being hurt. Between the two of them, they were actively on this thread at almost all times during the pageant! I don't blame Wiz for not wanting to do it again, and I'm sickened to think how Rick will feel when he checks in amidst his emergency.
I'm sorry for the novel. But I thought maybe people hadn't stopped to think that they may be being hurtful to someone who really hadn't intended them any misdeed. I will go back to into lighthearted mode now, no more "ranting" for me!

I think that there are only a few that are unhappy.
I must say, that I think you guys will be lucky to find the Wiz or Rick back on this thread.
This was not what this competition was about.
I propose that ALL the supplies pull their prizes from the contest to teach those a lesson in gratefulness.

actually dear... you are correct.. there is the gift horse thing..
there is the fact that all involved did so without any expectation of a prize of any sort...
i also dont think it's about .....ing about free stuff.. i think we jump to that conclusion mistakenly to simplify what may be being said in the interest more of fairness more than self...
there was a prize list.. that list was there all the way till voting ended.. once voting ended..that prize list should have been set in stone..but it wasn't... in all fairness.. i don't think wiz has done anything intentionally.. i would like to believe that he changed the list to TRY to make it fair.. but... changing the list after the fact was not the wisest of decisions..
he is right.. most likely there would be SOME dissent if he had not changed the list.. but he DID change the list..thusly bringing that dissent directly to himself instead of simply being able to point out "the list has been there for a week now"
and no Kaston.. im not picking on you or your posted opinion.. (just to be CLEAR).. you just happened to be the one who worded your post in th perfect way as to facilitate my own posting..
i think mayhaps it's time to let it go.. the point has been made.. and it should just be left there

i would like to thank each and every woman involved in the contest for a wonderful time of getting to know each of you better.. maybe we can do this again next year..and if wiz wont..i'll officially put my hat in the ring for organizing it.. i GUARANTEE it would be fair and no .....ing afterwards

I actually mulled this over for a while , long enough for someone else to post exactly what I was thinking ... Miss ECF was a wonderful diversion from everyday life and Wiz and Rick did a power of work during its duration ... AND THEY DID IT FOR NO PRIZES, NO GLORY, NO ULTERIOR MOTIVES.... every prize in this contest was a GIFT from suppliers , as far as I can see EVERY ENTRANT got at least a gift... geez I dunno, I reckon some here would whine if they won the lottery and they had to wait a week to get the millions!!!
For those ladies who competed in the TRUE spirit of the contest I thank you , for those contestants and the members stirring the pot , you make me wanna throw up....

Ladies this contest was fun for eveyone in the begining but things have taken a turn. Instead of worrying about the prizes I would be more concerned about what happened to your photos. You all forgot to copy right your photos. Now you no longer own these pictures and heaven knows where they may end up in. Someone may have stored them in thier photobucket. In these days with what is happening to women you may want to make sure that all pictures are deleted from photobuckets and computers. I am not talking about the ones hosting the contest in good faith but others who may have viewed then clicked and saved. Congradulations to all that entered with class and ended with class. My only concern is that all things taking place on the internet are not safe.
Let me let everyone know - I'm NOT .....ing and complaining - I'm more than happy with how this turned out for ME. but I can see and understand how others might feel slighted - and it is for them I speak.
All those yelling loudest it seems, got way more than they bargained for - so yes yell loud how fair it is and how ungratefull everyone else is... but do stop for ONE minute and LOOK - how would YOU like to be in the position some ladies find themselves?
