Not to nitpick, but shouldn't it read, "Does everything, and everyone, need to be corrected?"

Please correct me if I'm wrong. Commas are hard.
Maybe CommaHolly can help you out with that?

As for me, I just toss in commas where they feel right.
I don't know enough about proper punctuation, nor do I really care.

My apologies to all the English majors out there.
:)

I pretty much throw a comma in where I would take a little breath, if you know what I mean. :D

Mission Impossible: stop telling other people how they may refer to their own things that they bought and paid for with their own money and/or lovingly mixed themselves.

Amen.

If the government is going to ban or regulate e-cigs, they are gonna do it. The best we can do, is continue to vape, write to our representatives as needed, and be vocal about our support for vaping. Oh , and spread the word.

Anything else is going to have little effect. I'm not going to get down on my knees, and starting using alternative terminology, because it might sound more politically correct, or whatever. No thanks!

Y'all must want to be featured as an IMF adversary on the next episode.

Do ya?

Do ya really?

Good afternoon, dedicated vapers.

Situation: After your successful efforts in changing the term "steeping" to "aging," command and control has confidence in your ability to accomplish the next difficult mission.

The solutions that we have been vaporizing are liquids containing propylene glycol, vegetable glycerin, water, flavorings and liquid nicotine base. There are no plant or fruit squeezings in these aqueous solutions. However, a sinister element has usurped the proper terminology and begun a campaign to refer to these substances as "joose." We think Phil Busardo is behind this, but that is for you to ascertain.

Your mission, vapers, should you choose to accept it, is to refrain from using the "J" word when referring to your delicious, satisfying e-liquids. Instead, use the term "liquid" or "flavor." After all, we don't want some knucklehead opening a bottle of Orange Crush and drinking the damned thing.

As always, should you or any of fellow vapers be caught or banned, the ECF will disavow any knowledge of your actions.

Good luck, vapers!

:vapor:

I really have to say that I find you finnicky, and what's worse, attempting to correct others. When you embrace the diversity of ideas and people you'll say you have succeded. In turn, I'll call it whatever I like.

Obviously the OP started the thread as humor... sure are a bunch of folks that need to lighten up, or, step up a few mg's in nic strength.

I think that is an unfair reply. I think the OP was started in a well-natured way, but I also think just about every reply was as well. I haven't seen a single person post yet that seems upset, except YOU.

I blame YOU. For stuff.

If the misuse of commas were the only thing we English Majors had to worry about, then we'd be happier than moles in soft dirt. It's the misuse of the apostrophe that really gets my feathers ruffled. :)

But when did "Form Factor" replace the very simple and direct word "Shape"? Has it been forgotten?

I must have missed the memo or was that TV show that much a part of the popular culture?

Shape doesn't encompass size. Form factor is sort of a catch-all term for shape, size, weight.

Wiki says "The shape of an object located in some space is a geometrical description of the part of that space occupied by the object, as determined by its external boundary"

Wiki says further "For mobile phones, the form factor refers to the size, style, and shape of a phone as well as to the layout and position of the phone's major components. There are three major forms for mobile phones: bar, flip, and slider."

So I suppose we are applying terms from electronics/PC's/etc. to e-cigs but I'm not too sure about weight in the equation/factor
