Well this is probably going to be contentious but my worst mistake was buying a Dicodes Dani mini. The control system is a nightmare and i struggled to even adjust the wattage. I'm far too old and curmudgeonly to be bothered with having to remember sixteen* assorted button presses to go up one watt.

*This may be a slight exaggeration, it's probably only fourteen but i got bored.

And, like Smok Roku remotes are like the worst thing EVER. Like, literally the last release we purchased the remote was so bad, all THREE of us went looking for internet fixes and all three of us returned saying, "They say to use your phone."

Yeah the only problem with that being if you live in such a rural area well, you buy a gigantic Verizon data plan that phone/remote is constantly pinging or updating or whatever it is it does, you burn through 80% of your daily data allotment just like, watching that 20 minute TV show.

I am not fan of Roku, I'd pretty much be just as happy using my computer, which I mostly do with the resolution set low, so I don't run out of data. I miss the days when actors actually looked better than YOU (i.e. prior to HD.) HD encourages the idea you can be an actor and like, that is bad. Really, we don't need more waitstaff especially in the current climate.

I had one of the first generation ones (2004'ish???), and have had them in house and use since (three currently).

Problems, none. :p ;)

I once killed two brand new Rivas (champagne gray beauties, just released). I put a cartomizer (without testing its resistance) on the first Riva, fresh and shiny out of the box, and it fizzled, blinked and went dead. Unfazed, I immediately moved the same cartomizer on my second brand new Riva, which similarly fizzled, blinked and...died.

I was heartbroken and ready to call the vendor to ask for help--yes, in those days we called our e-cig purveyors often, we knew them, many were members of this forum and had their websites here--but I decided to do a forum search first... And I found a bunch of threads like this one:

One atomizer killed my eGo batteries?

The Infamous eGo MOSFET! @Scottbee, our resident battery guru at the time, finally explained it to us:

"ANY atty or cartomizer can kill the eGo/Tornado/Riva battery. The basic battery design doesn't have a robust short-circuit protection.. and if the resistance of the atty or cartomizer drops much below 1.4Ω, the driver circuit (MOSFET) for the battery can/will fry." Some circuit protection.

After that, I bought one of those things and made sure to test the resistance of every cartomizer I used. The things we did.

My one attempt at the Taryn Spin, which resulted in:

a) juice all over my walls, and -
b) a broken light bulb, when the inertia-filled carto flew into (and knocked over) a lamp.

Definitely not my best-ever vapin' idea.

I used Leaford's lanyard to try the Taryn spin. The bloody carto went airborne and made a hole in the wall. That was my first and last attempt. :D

;)

Anything can (still) be replaced, Bark. This too will change one day, unfortunately. :(:-x
Oh, I'm working on it
:matrix:

Fortunately, I know the guy I sold it to, a friend, and he didn't like it all that much.. too antiquated for his liking so it didn't see all that much use. And fortunately for me, I still have a ton of viable AW button tops :D

The Erl and provari have never been properly introduced, this may be a match made in the stars, prophesied aeons ago
