All of the Fleetwood Mac talk a few pages ago reminded me of several things--including that I was forced to sing a karaoke version of "You Make Loving Fun" during my bachelor party. Now, my singing is best done in the shower (my wife disputes this--she thinks it should be outlawed everywhere) and only gets worse after many alcoholic beverages, so I was surprised when many people who were not part of the bachelor party came up to me and said that I was really good. There were three songs that my friends made me sing: the aforementioned one, "Don't You Want Me" by (yes) Human League, and this gem by Carl Douglas. (Perhaps even scarier--I didn't have to read the lyrics for any of the songs....).
Cool tune and story to match!
Funny you should mention....we have a massive karaoke collection/outfit at our house. I just bought a new wide screen monitor for it, (yes, my vision stinks). Man we must have over 500 songs, ranging from Sinatra to Slayer.

And yes...some of my buddies sound like nails on a chalkboard, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. Good times indeed.
