Forgive the interruption...

Will the Mini Vivi Nova fit in this thing? Yeah, I know. It's like putting a redneck behind the wheel of a Mercedes to bring the cows home but I'm not ready for coil rebuilding school just yet. Maybe one day. I just like the stealth potential of this thing.

I've done the math on all the measurements and it appears like it will work but I just can't picture how far the mouth piece will stick out. I'd hate to lose an eye. (Or a testicle should this thing take a funny turn in my pocket).

I don't have a pic, but the mini Vivi Nova will fit. I also use the Aspire BDC and the mini ProTank 2, just have to get an adapter in there which is fiddly but works very well. I almost prefer the Aspire to my Spheroid.

I also wanted to add that I have MS #1122 and while I have had a few marks from keys and my wedding band and from using needle nose pliers to get the adapter in there, the marks were fairly easy to remove with an alcohol pad and a little bit of elbow grease. No scratches whatsoever and I am far from gentle with it.

Thanks! Before pulling the trigger on the MS, I'm waiting on the Mini Vivi Nova first to see how well I like it. Plus, I think wrapping single coil attys might prove easier for a beginner like me should I decide to do that. (vs. the BDC).

Kodiak, I personally recommend the GP Spheroid. Many of us with the Microstick have this combo. It is single coil, and I think ok for a beginner. There, of course, is some trial and error, but that's life! Plenty of us here will give you all the support you want.

Too bad that there's no "unlike" button.. :(

Well, I mean, all things being equal, the finish is not that bad, but, if the mod comes in direct contact with a metallic object - for example, I just rubbed my wedding ring against it deliberately, and there's now a scratch on the mod. I mean, you really have to put yourself into it to rub it down to the metal. All our mods get scratched up here or there with rings or what not. The only way to compare it to the finish on the older batch is if someone is willing to rub something metallic on their microstick with a serial number below 1000.

i will do this i have 2 under 1k. what exactly do you guys want me to do?

It was a little grey when I took it out of the package. Took a wet cloth and rubbed it down some and started to see that white stuff rub off in little pieces or whatever you want to call it, almost like a thin layer of glue. So I took the bottom off and went over it really good with some Never Dull and then scrubbed it with soap to get the Never Dull smell off. The smell isn't 100% gone, but it will wear off shortly. But yeah, after cleaning it really good the finish is pretty bang on from what I can tell.

Initially yours had a whitish look as well? Never dull, is that the stuff in a tin can like wool? Mine looked better the other night but kind of dull again, need more scrubbing I'm afraid!! Did you wipe until no more residue would come off? I was still rolling pieces off when I finally stopped! Let me know! Congrats though as I know you have waited awhile! I ordered me a 15mm ibtanked for it last night as well!

Odd. Mine was one of the us distribution places (vaperver.com). I did have a little white powder looking stuff that whiped right off. No flaky stuff.

Mine does have some scratches but hey, the base is still aluminum. Don't care what you coat it with, scratches happen. I just call it character and proves I use it. Still my fav mod at the moment. Just don't tell the billet box thread folks that.

Yeah a little white ish. Yeah Never Dull is in a tin can and it's basically cotton soaked in something that smells very close to gasoline. You should see the quick work it makes of oxidation on brass contacts, makes cleaning them stupid easy.
