VV/VW mods should always have their batteries removed for charging if indeed they can be removed. Some devices have built in batteries and I don't recommend those. Charging a battery although a simple task can result in fires. Never leave a charging battery alone.
18650's is all I use. I have some I've used for 8 months and are still charging pretty quick and slow discharging. So the answer is..if you haven't had any malfunctions with a battery,.....(stuck switches where it got hot) or the batteries covers are not nicked or torn,....you can use them until they no longer come off the charger at 4.2V.

I use almost 100% Reos and sometimes an iStick. With my Reo batteries, I charge 2 - 18490's at a time and use the other one. I never leave them unattended or charge overnight and they still charge pretty fast despite being about 6 months old. The mini Woodvil I bought today uses a different battery (14500) but my charger will handle those also. That will actually allow me to know which battery is for which device.

I'd just never heard about letting them rest for 12 hours after charging and found that interesting.

They're coming!!! They're coming!!! Oh happy day!! :w00t:
YAY! So glad they made it! Hope you had a wonderful time!
Trying to keep positive and happy. But it's the first year I don't get to see my mom and sister. Or call and get that "Happy Thanksgiving!!" over the phone.
It feels kind of weird.
Sending you a huge hug.
Good morning Mountaineers and Happy Thanksgiving. We're drinking coffee and watching the parade this morning while a pie and a breakfast casserole are baking. Later we'll break out some Bloody Mary's, stick the turkey in, turn on the football, and have a late afternoon traditional feast.

We didn't get the expected snow here in the mountains but it's cold and you all know I was looking forward to that! My poor little dog doesn't know what to think of it.

Hope you all have a great fun, family loving, food filled day!
Sounds like a wonderful day even if you didn't get snow. :) I love cold weather. My little dog loves his blanket. lol

Hope everyone has a wonderful and blessed day today! I am so truly grateful for my Molehill family here and for Doug and Kayte who make it all possible...you are all truly wonderful!
Wishing everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving, & thanking you all for making me feel so welcome here! Chooch, if I wobble any more I'll fall over! Now, niceties over, I'll be joining the tip scramble next month! WOOHOO!
Of course you're welcome! Now... what kind of pie do you have left to share?
You nailed it..Now have Doug plan on making one by Jan 3rd for me..My BD is on the 13th....lol

Hope you, Doug, and all the kiddos have a very nice Thanksgiving also Kayte!
Could you do me a huge favor and email Doug? I'm not where I can write it down right now and we certainly don't want to trust my memory with this.:facepalm:

Just bought my first Woodvil in the classies. And it just started to snow. AND I still have my PJ's on. What a great day!!

I really need to be Christmas shopping online but don't know what to buy anyone this year. I only have my two boys, my two DIL's and two grands to buy for and I'm at a total loss this year. That's not like me. So instead, I bought another Reo.
Sounds like an excellent plan to me! Enjoy your woodvil!!!
I'm at a loss this year, too. Maybe I should just go get something I want and call it done?

Bumping so I can imagine it on a mod of mine..:2cool:
Hey Kayte, is there such thing as a straight acrylic?
Do you mean an acrylic tip in the short straight barrel shape? If so, sure! We can do that. :)

Good to see you! Glad you found your way over here. :)
Um... think I'll pass on the cake. That's truly... awful.:facepalm: I feel like starting a collection to send the cake decorator back to school.

I'm sitting here at 1am with itchy fingers. I'm trying to find a fabulous deal on the iStick. Unfortunately, the best deal appears to be a bait and switch. (Can you see the irritation on my face??) Another unfortunate problem is that I just happened to see a hammered copper kitchen sink at a really good price. Doug is asleep. It would only take one little click to have it on it's way to me. Think I can get it, install it and him not notice for awhile? Long enough for me to be able to say 'Oh that old thing? That's been there for ages.' :D

And why do I suddenly feel like Lucy? I better go to sleep!

Late nite and late Happy T- Day to all of you. I found that after two very rough days, I ended up in smiles and incredibly grateful for everyone and everything in my life...... you all are included there.

Oh keepsake... I know. Hugs.

HOLD the PHONE. Your BD is January the 13th??? AHEM..... so is MINE!!!!!!!!!!

You are Siriusly a Cap? WHO KNEW!!!

Really? I've never heard that before. I rotate 3 batteries for one device so they do get a 12 hr. rest (at least) after a charge but I'd never heard that. What does that accomplish for them? Also, how often do you buy new ones?

Ms.C, I'm not sure if you're familiar with this site, but it's THE place to find all info battery-esque: Basic to Advanced Battery Information from Battery University

It's also important to let batts "rest" once you remove them from your device and before putting them on the charger.

Thank you for the hug. I really appreciate it.. Sending some back to you and Doug. Yes..shorty straights. Have to think on a colors. But when I go out I like to swap any woods out to acrylics. Don't want the woods to break!
That cake still has me cracking up!

Tonight........turkey dinner all over again! :p

Super, timely snag, Keepsmiling!

Kayte, one of the family "stories" was how grandma would buy herself some kind of extravagant clothing, hide it under the bed for several mos., then wear it. That way she could say "I've had this for months" to grandpa's question with a clear conscience. However, it didn't work with the fur coat bought in the 1940's; but maybe your sink would pass muster more easily since it's for the house and not personal. :D
