Thanks guys!
Yep Chooch! Crystal Quartz is yours. Thank you!
And thanks for misbehaving Splat. :laugh:

Battle of Yongsan... don't think I want to know. :unsure: I was digging around in family history a little the other day myself. I haven't looked in the National Archives. I'll have to do that some day. (Sounds like I should wear a dust mask.) If you put in a name, does it list what battles they were in? My dad fought in WWII and would never talk about it. (Don't blame him.) But all I know is; he was wounded on Okinawa (spent a month in the hospital in Hawaii) and he was one of the first to walk into Nagasaki after the bomb was dropped. :(

I generally like studying genealogy. I like to taunt Doug with my ancestors. Mine are better than his. :laugh:

The National Archives are set up a bit differently than Ancestry and takes a bit to get the hang of it. Seems you've got to know the background (Division, Regiment, Battalion) of person to shorten the search; otherwise, might be hours and hours looking IF they have the information. There was a fire in 1973 that burnt or water damaged millions of records. Also, there's a Form 180 that can be filled out and sent. This military/government way of finding and applying for copies of records is brand new to me, so still learning. :unsure:

Yay-y-y! Got the Quartz! Thanks, Kayte. Hubbs thinks it looks like a "dolled up" camo tip! :laugh: Right up my alley.

Sirius, Doc Holiday was an in-law of mine......several times removed. :p

Great that you got it chooch,:) not so sure about the camo pattern tho I do detect a pattern in nature like tips for you the last one was that delicious moss green one and now this (camo) gold pattern.Very tempting but it has to much likeness with the algae problem I have going on in my fish tank right now.I treated it tonight but since it is the first time I ever had this I have no clue how long it takes for this treatment to do its job. if it isn't gone by Saturday I will take drastic measures.:glare:

No. It's worse. He's VERY distantly related to Nixon. :ohmy::lol::lol::lol::facepalm:
I also figure some of his ancestors killed some of mine at the Mountain Meadow Massacre. :sneaky:
MY ancestors would include, John Hart (came here in 1687 in the first charter with William Penn), Nancy Hart (also known as War Woman lol) she was an American Revolution heroine, Davy Crockett was a great uncle, Prudence Koen was one of 8 children that survived the Mountain Meadow Massacre and a few others with interesting stories. However, since you brought up Jesse James and Doc Holliday... John 'Pink' Higgins slipped into my family line. Never heard of him? That might be just as well! :laugh: (Actually, he was a lawman. Old west style. :blink:) http://www.amazon.com/The-Bloody-Legacy-Pink-Higgins/dp/1571683046

PM me when you get a chance. I might be able to help. Let me know what type or a description of it{slimy, hairy, black, green brown, etc}
You never want to use a 'treatment'. You want to know what caused it to occur in the first place, and correct that. Most algae feeds off excess nutrients, or too much or out of spectrum light.Overstocking, not enough circulation and overfeeding can be factors. Water changes are your friend.:)
