Just want to wish a Happy Memorial Day to all my fellow Mountaineers! As a former military spouse for 20 years, I know well the sacrifice that is made by not just those who serve, but by the families as well, so please remember those families who sacrifice as well, for it is their love and support that helps our service men and women to carry on!

Hi all! It's a beautiful rainy Memorial Day afternoon here. Seems fitting.

Hope everyone had a great weekend and are able to enjoy today off! We're not taking the day off, but enjoying it anyway.

Chooch - enjoyed your sharing, very much.

Glad to see everyone got REO's of their choice!

We had rain too! But, it waited until late afternoon then dumped like 3" in 20 min.! Bam! Stopped! It was over? Nah, will be raining off and on thru Sun. This kind of rain reminds me of FL showers and you quickly learned NOT to keep your car windows open even on a cloudless day.......On this last "dump" though the down sloping driveways reminded me of water slides at Water World! LOL

Oh Kayte you went and did it now, everyone's ears, or eyes, are on alert now.

That's what it's doing here too, chooch. Lightening, thunder, downpour, sun.
I was just getting ready to put on my painting ensemble and haul things outside to get started and noticed it had gotten dark. Sooo glad I didn't get everything out there and started on painting. That would have been one huge mess! We didn't get as much as you though... thank goodness! That would likely carry my house away!

Thank you Chooch...even though we are no longer together, we were for the whole of his career, and he will always have my admiration, gratitude and respect for all he did! I was proud to be a military spouse!

I can not believe you don't have a painting ensemble! Shocked! You'd probably like my get-up. It's um... colorful?
I've been painting in these clothes for the last 20ish years. lol

Well, we'll see if Jammies was meant to be mine or not. Wanted a polka dot one and am always talking about my pj's matching! That Dyed Box Elder Burl is one of hubb's favorites and whenever taken to a meet, the guys really do like the muted colors.

Oh I agree Splat...you know there are plenty happy to our place with the tips...besides I happen to know I have a little gold box with 2 beautiful tips waiting on me at home that I'll be able to ooh and aah over in a couple of hours...came in the day I left of course!

Ta dat, ta da-a-a-ah! Got some Jammies for my pj's. Now am going to celebrate by watching the new mini series, "Texas Rising", on the History Channel. Hubby is starting the popcorn!
