Pineapple cobbler was done tonight. Yummy, yum, yum! Didn't really need a sprinkling of brown sugar on bottom of baking dish as the pineapple was sweet enough. Also, if you let the pineapple sit until outer skin is tan, brownish color it is riper, sweeter, juicier and easier to peel. Just lop off 1/2 to 1" top and bottom, sit it on end and proceed to peel down 1 to 1 1/2" of skin off at a time all around. Once peeled, cut slices off near to the core which is tossed out. Cut up in chunks, spray Pam in dish, toss in the pineapple, pour soupy Martha White biscuit batter over and you're done except the baking for 40 minutes. .......Got to check the other closet for my BIG clothes!!!

Before I tossed that fiberous core, I knawed the bit of pineable that was left on it like I was eating corn on the cob. juice was running down my forearms and leaving puddles on the countertop with that little bit!
Think trouble in peeling comes with peeling it while the skin is still green and pretty. Googled how to peel pineapple and found out about doing it when the color changes to ugly.

Hey, Sirius, Dale, Splat! Good Friday morning! The weekend starts tomorrow and it's good we've been practicing our "slugness". The forecasted weather is conducive to "lolling" activities.
Sirius, sitting in front of A/C and drinking your iced tea will be an excellent idea. Perhaps we ought to delay our bus ride to christen Kayte's new gorgeous kitchen until fall when it's cooler and the leaves are changing. 'Sides it'll give her more time to cook stuff. Ha!
Dale, breakfast in bed would be a novelty especially sharing with Splat's Bambi, Thumper and LePew! heehee

TGIF peeps! My weekend sort of starts now as the a/c went out at the office and it was too hot to stay there. Only one of 5 units died and it would be the one in my area. So I'm working at home....sort of.

I like it Chooch but it takes some discipline. Since Mike is self employed, we have an office that is 1/4 of our house where we both have desks and our computers, phones etc. Along with chairs, a sofa, a big TV and various other things. I like putting my hair up, putting comfy clothes on, getting a Popsicle out of the freezer when I want, or working with a pup in my lap. And no one interrupts me unless I let them. It's amazing!

Hey DS, J is Joseph. He's been doing work for us for awhile now. I posted about him when he started. He was setting up the blanks on the inserts for Doug to turn. The idea was that Doug would be able to spend more time actually making tips, which should mean more tips available. Not to sure it's worked out that way.
But anyway, Joseph really wanted to learn how to turn, so he and Doug have spent some time working on that. Congrats KS!!! (I'm with the others and will be waiting to hear some good music from you!Hi Mountaineers!
