Here's the 6 page thread discussing the problem with clear insulators on mini Subtanks at the first of the year. Hopefully, since mine isn't the clear one, yours that have been recently ordered aren't either.

Kanger Subtank Mini clear insulator melted to my RBA! | E-Cigarette Forum

I didn't take a nap. :( Got too interested in rebuilding the deck with my usual 30 gauge and trying for a 1.8 build using cellu cotton instead of the Japanese cotton that came with it. After futzing around getting shorts and having the darnest time getting the legs screwed down, finally surprised myself with a 1.8 ohm, 7 wraps on the 3/16 th's jig. The coil and cellu is doing splendidly! Ta dah! The juice is a 3 nic and is like 60-70 vg which usually makes my chest feel congested; however, vaping it at a tootle puffing 8.6 watts/4 volts with enough vapor to cloud the kitchen eating area, no congestion yet. We'll see with a couple of other heavy vg juices hubby won before I do a boogie woogie! :)

I have been trying this build in the Subtank on the VaporShark, Cool Fire IV, AND the cherry red mini ProVari 2.5. Works on all of them and gives me the same ohm reading. Actually got up to 4.4 volts/10.75 watts on the PV though dare not go higher because of the PV's limits. BUT! I am tootle puffing on a subohm tank. Ha!......The red rings really look good with the red PV and Big Red, the Marti Gras tip, on top too. :)

Howdy all! Just checking in and hoping that everyone is well today [emoji4]

Started out busy here at work and for some reason, I am really, really dragging today. Hope it's not my new medication. Doc said that there could be some minor side effects that usually go away after a couple of weeks. If its going to help me, I guess can tough it out [emoji6]

Chooch, sounds like you are getting the hang of that STM! Good going[emoji4] I love messing around with building [emoji4] I may have to get the newer RDA part when it comes out to go on mine. I understand they wick better. Havent seen them released yet. Started to jury rig the ones I have with a drill, but thought twice! LOL

Y'all stay cool and TTYL

Howdy all...have been super busy this week...I know, I know, that's no way for a slug to behave, but slugs gotta eat too, so unfortunately must do that terrible thing called...dare I say it...um....work! Ack!:confused:

Did finally find some time to get a pic of my wayward tip Floral on Blue...and boy is she beauty...well worth the wait, although she's not divulging what really happened on her trip to CA! :p...Here she is on top on my new special edition iStick 30...they go perfect together!...As a matter of fact, went and bought the iStick after I won the tip because I knew they would be awesome together! :D

Well, Momma, I think I'm getting the hang of them; but I've really got to get the build time down to less than an hour! Ha! :) So far no newer RDA to be bought except with the Subox mini kit. 'Spect they're trying to reduce inventory of the old type which is selling anywhere from $6.50 to $10. Hubby wants to get new 5/64 th bit before he tries. If he messes up, got the newer one cominng in with the black kit he won. :)

Howdy y'all. Finally have some internets. At the hospital.
So here is my adventure so far

Salt plains were flooded, no digging for crystals , sand dunes are an atv playground, got stuck in the mud down a country road for three hours. Fishing was fun only mom caught a fish, now the alabaster caves were pretty awesome. Got back to mom and dads, the trucks alternator went out. Got tickets for the wrong theatre for Jurassic world. It has been a wild ride.
Dad's surgery this morning everything went good! There is always a silver lining even to a black cloud

Nice Angel..all matchy matchy like a true Mountaineer! Can't wait to see what you put that Bonafide tip on once you get Doug to refinish it.

Copy these Molehill Mountain Tips fakers! :p

I doubt they could even if they tried...Nothing like a Molehill Mountain tip in both quality and customer service..Besides,..the artists love Mountaineers..We ain't just customers.

Okay, how about I put my coil on the Subtank deck sideways......and it still worked. :p The tails of wick had to be extra long though to reach the wick holes. :D Watching my shaky hands and blind pokings at those teeny, tiny holes would give any halfway decent builder fits! Told hubbs this morning was in need of a 1,000 watt spot light. Am just sorry that you didn't get your injections today, Sirius. Someone at doc's ofc was slow submitting request? or at least to follow up on the request. :( Hoping the okay will come in soon. :nun:

It's Wednesday! It's not fair to be all sleepy on a Wednesday. What kind of date am I going to be by tonight?

Sorry about the confusion on tips yesterday. But the good news - I will have tips this evening. :D  :D

Poor Doug is getting hit with allergies (the timothy grass is doing mega pollen right now and our place is full of it.) He's been trying to get special orders done, work on the random segmented blocks AND make his wife happy by getting stuff done on this kitchen before she goes out of her ever lovin' mind.
I'm giving him a break today. He's out there working on whatever he feels like doing and I won't say one word about the kitchen. ;)

I've got a few grandkids coming over shortly so I can get some hugs and giggles.

DS - sounds like some 'funny later' adventures! SO glad to hear your dad is doing well!!! That right there is everything that really matters!
Did you see Jurassic World 3D with shaky seats and surround sound?! My daughter went to see it on Saturday with 4 teen boys. They had a great time. She said it was pretty intense in 3D. I'm looking forward to it coming out on blue-ray.

Chooch! Sounds like your sub-ohming ventures are paying off! The 1000 watt bulb idea sounds like maybe I could make a coil with that.

Angel - that iStick and tip are gorgeous together! Total perfection! You can leave that one to me in your will! :p

Sirius - so sorry you didn't get your injections! I don't know who to be mad at... the insurance company or the doc's office. :grr:

mommab - sure hope the meds don't mess with your energy level too much. The pace you keep makes me tired, but it's fun to hear about. lol Hope you're able to cut the prednizone. (I spelled that wrong and I don't care.)

Okay... off to get ready for grandkids. See you all about 6:00pm!
