This happened here recently, when I talked about it in meetings the answer I got from above was "It will be easier and less risky for us in the long run to ban it and avoid any potential legal fallout in the future. Our place our rules. If we willingly let employees put other employees at risk that is where the true risk is down the road. We can always loosen the restrictions later after real research is done if needed."
But honestly out of approx 1,000 people there are only 6 vapers that I know of, that is increasing daily.

Honestly, I have no problems with regulation and even taxation. What I have a problem with is misinformation. The things people ask me about .... you'd think I was drinking bleach. We are definitely way past the high water mark for vaping. It's everywhere and growing exponentially. Many of us who have been at it a while, and many of the newbies, we KNOW this is a better alternative than smoking. If I had to, I would look into extracting nicotine to PG/VG myself. I refuse to smoke, ever again.

Hey Sam. I was just going through all of my Emots and thought that you could add this to your collection. I like this one (one of my favorites). Found it about a year ago online somewhere... don't smoke.gif

I have the Tobeco Kracken because the vendor credited me and said do not worry about shipping it back. I did not get it from FT but I believe that is the one they carried with all the complaints. I have the hcigar version as well from another vendor, it came with no problems. I am debating trying to get the one I was credited for working and PIF it to someone local but dunno if I should spend the time or have the patience for it. It is a good gen style atty when it works, I tried it with SS, Silcia and cotton wicks, un-surprisingly enough I favored the cotton :)

Hm, that's good to know. I've seen both the FT ones and the Tobeco ones in person and the ones I saw were distinctly different - the engraving on the FT ones wasn't as crisp and they weren't machined as well. That said, it is FT and Tobeco we're speaking of, so it's *entirely* possible that the FT ones I've seen were from an early/bad run, or the Tobeco ones I've seen were particularly good examples... no such thing as quality control when it comes to clones, so any or all of the above could be true.

At the very least I know for sure that the one I'm getting worked as of a few days ago, so any problems with it should be minor. Fingers crossed, anyway... it's getting broken down, cleaned thoroughly, and stuck on an ohm meter before it goes anywhere near my juice.

Good to know that it performs well with various wicking materials, too.

That smiley is perfect. Here's a .gif that I think sums up vaping in just a few frames:

It's not so much the regulation that offends me. I have the right to chose my habits, pastimes and hobbies. What really ticks me off is excessive regulations and restrictions by the Nannies to try and force someone into what the Nannies think is the right thing for people.

**Warning Tinfoil Hat Time**

If we can get people to live longer, they will work taxable wages longer, we can prove that statistically and push retirement ages back further, so they work taxable wages longer and we can withhold SS payouts. Plus we do not like them rascals doing what they want anyways.

I decided with the savings Im gonna get with making my own juice that I want to get a VTR. Anyone here uses it and how do you like it? It will be a home mod so the heaviness won't be a factor. Mainly Im concerned with how good the threads are. My Vamo is very finicky in that department

I'm quite sure someone has already given you information on the VTR, but I will chime in just in case, I have no plan on going back and forth between the start of today's thread to the end etc.

The VTR as pretty much everyone that has one knows it's a heavy mod, I like that it is and it only took a short time to get used to the weight, it weighs approx 13oz without the battery. The threads are solid no issues with those what so ever. The issues that have been mentioned are the fact that without the extender it will only accept 19mm tanks due to ring at the top, not a real big issue for me, it would have been nice if they had made it a little re-sizeable, but I won't go into that, some have even cut off the top ring to accommodate larger tanks and other atty types.

The other issue that some were reporting was due to the bottom ring that spins, they were reporting that the issue with some of them was that it was causing some false reading on the built in Ohm reader, I have not had an issue with that at all at this point, some that did stated that after working with the ring for a while spinning it back and forth the issue was resolved, but now Innokin has made the ring immovable and I haven't seen any negative post in regards to it at this point.

All in all, this is a very nice mod, I am extremely happy with it, I get a good 1 1/2 days out of the battery and I am a serious chain vaper.

I do however wish that there was either a shorter adapter so that I could use Evods and the like without them sticking out so high when used on the adapter that it makes the mod look like an old Walkie Talkie. It's a very solid unit and for me is very reliable, I also have a Cell phone case that was for my Motorola Atrix and the VTR fits in that like it was made for it. But due to the weight, I would not recommend this option without have a good belt and most certainly not recommend it to those who think wearing one pair of pants below your ... is cool as it would cause them to be around their ankles, which on thinking of this might be a good idea and mayber they will learn how to pull up their damn pants!

I have a big problem with a sin tax being levied on all things vape. Philosophically and financially.
It'll end up with vaping much more expensive and much more restricted.

Vaping is taking off enough in my company that they're about to add a policy to the employee handbook.

Sadly, it's going to be the easy one where vaping = smoking. I'm quietly trying to convince our HR folks that they should actually do some research first.

Tell H.R. as a "non-smoker" you refuse to allow them to force you to inhale second hand smoke.

I agree on the taxation thing, but we'd be crazy to think it's not gonna happen. A small, reasonable sales tax is one thing, a 'sin' tax as in cigarette taxation would inflame me. I can't see how they can try to regulate mods and such, but they will definitely go after nicotine solution.

gaaaaak, are you guys talkin't about me?

that jessica rabbit could put somebody's eye out with those things. her boobs are bigger than my entire body! snort.

but remember....she's not bad....she's just drawn that way ;)

taking a little break from a stressful week to say hi View attachment 293384 and grab a little lunch. hope everyone is having a good day.

Hi Kelli!! :) Hope your week is getting better.

Im afraid you missed the point dahlin...

I thought she hit it spot on.

I hope to see it regulated nationwide sooner than later, and hopefully that tax money will ease pressure from governmental agencies on our beloved 'hobby'. We shall see, as always.

I'm going to have to strongly disagree. I don't believe in giving up a few of my freedoms to save the rest. I will take them all, thank you. Federal laws are rarely the answer for anything. But I already treat vaping a lot like smoking - I don't vape anywhere and everywhere 'because I can' or to stick it in anybody's face. I can wait until I'm through the check-out line or done eating. If more people used a little respect for others & some common sense it wouldn't be an issue - then you could get away with sneaking one at your desk once in a while, or stealthing at the movies, or just generally being discrete about it. Don't need a law that just gives them the first step of many over that line in the sand, or for it to be twisted & manipulated & taken out of context further down the line. Anyhow... *steps down from soapbox, grabs a bar & tosses it to Butch* Use some water this time, eh?

That's very idealistic, however wholly unrealistic. Regulations and taxation are coming, we can only hope and put pressure on those with the power to be reasonable.

Oy, requesting a vaping section be set up in the 3rd class citizens section.

not only that .... but a section for those using the patch, and another section for those chewing nic-gum, and another section for those using those nic lozenges (because ya never know what those things could be outgassing). Then we can ask for a section for those people who wear overpowering perfume and cologne, and a section for the people who use the scented skin lotion.

How about a section for people who insist on eating beans in their chili???
