Nice. The bad things about them are they won't stay true if you push on them too much (which you shouldn't anyways) & that replacement belts are impossible to find if you break one. Woodcraft sells a segmented belt you can add/remove links to, so the belts not that big of an issue.

Out of all my power tools, I only name the lathes. :D The picture in my last post is Lily. The green one is Daisy. It reminds me that they're really sweet when you treat them right, but disrespect them for just one millisecond & they'll :censored: your whole world up (& take a finger as a souvenir).

Carpentry and wood working are my fall back professions. Growing up my parents had a decent wood shop they spent the evenings in and did the craft show circuit. I put my self through school as a finish carpenter and cabinet maker. I owned my own remodel business for some years, mainly did period renovations and flipped houses with investors redoing period ranches in the "Austin Contemporary style" Kind of a weird mix of syles but really fun to work in. I have done the craft circuit myself with cabinetry and furniture. When talking "Clones" I am very familiar with it. You can spend months coming up with and idea, make a few hundred of them and if they are good sellers watch the idea populate through the rest of the craft stalls as the years go on.
Turning is definitely an art form. I can pull off any joining technique in my sleep. I can do any built up trim profile in my sleep. I can cut the entire roof structure for any house without having to measure individual rafters.
I can make pens on my lathe with 1 in 5 being successful :p I just do not have the patience for it. I can do bowls pretty good though.
I only do woodworking as a hobby now. It is way easier to pay the bills working as an industrial technician. :p
I am collecting some materials here and there, we have an entire machine shop at work. When I can get some time off while the machine shop is closed I will turn out a few of my own creations to vape on :p

that's weird cuz the steelers have a ton of fans here and all around the states,..... they travel real well

Okay I realize this conversation is likely well over but I feel compelled to reply because I am SHOCKED at this news. The Steelers are historically deity-ified (I know, not a word) in Pittsburgh but all I've heard about the traveling is that Pittsburghers traditionally take over the non-home stadium and act like total d-bags. Good to hear not everyone sees it that way. Unfortunately, things are fast changing. Where there is normally a years long waiting list for season tickets, home games are now experiencing record low attendance rates. It's bad news for the Steelers. However the Pirates had a strong-ish season (given that they've been the ugly stepsister in the Steelers/Pens/Pirates trifecta) and the Penguins are kicking some serious a-double-dollar-signs.

All right so I had the very best of intentions in catching up but I don't have all night and my brain is still soupy from the flight so, that's my excuse. Consider yourselves liked :) I skimmed through the last 5 million pages, sort of :)

I wanted to share with you all my latest experience. I just tried out White Out and Berry Creamy for the first time. White Out made me sweat. It's good and I will definitely make use of it...in small doses. It tastes much like a white tic tac followed by good & plenty. It's a ....-kicker for a newb like me, though. Berry creamy may need some more time, I think. It's heavy on the creamy and light on the berry. Kind of hookah-ish to me. BUT I LIKE IT. I really, really like it. I'm sensing a preference pattern that typically requires a blast of fruit, especially a tangy type fruit.

I wish I could share with you all my blueberry/pomegranate from this little vape bar in CA. It's just fabulous and I'm quite sad I won't get to buy it again for a few months. I'm even contemplating asking my aunt to go get me some and ship it out to me buuuut seeing as she never knew I smoked at all, it might be a bit weird. Though honestly, I probably would've gotten into vaping anyway. As it turns out, I'm obsessed.

If you're even in Southern CA, check out Vaporology and ask for that mix. That is, if you like pixie stix. It's fantabulous.

Soo...whatcha all doooin'?

EDIT: At the risk of being sacrilege and contemplating buying just...this...one...flavor, I found a blueberry pomegranate by ECBlend that has some really stunning reviews. I don't know if it'll be the same as my little independent shop mix, but I am thinking if it's blue pom, I'll like it. Any chance any of you have tried this flavor? Any at all?

I love nice carpentry. Awhile back, I ordered a custom-made wooden gun box for my boyfriend. I found a local carpenter and I picked out everything. Fell rapidly in love with anything made of black walnut. Engraved my hand-designed pattern on it and put a satin finish on some of it to add dimension. The box edge are dovetails and they are also gorgeous. The only thing he blew it on was the interior molding for the gun itself which I guess makes sense seeing as he's a carpenter.

Bravo to you, carpentry is a real art form.

I am slowly cleaning things out in there. The Toy Yorkie is no longer with us :( I did a trial run of some mod holders and cases. I have been playing with a few more designs as well. The trial run went well, I was able to drop them off at local B&Ms and they went fast. Hopefully I will be able to fund my vaping hobby with it :) First thing to try and fund is a radial drill press so I can cut down on the amount of jigs and custom clamps for angle boring mod stands. I am starting to find that a good radial drill press than doesn't have a lot of play in it runs into some serious money. Maybe I can sell the One Way and buy three or four of them :p. That is one expensive lumber stand.

Finally worked up enough nerve to check my credit card charges, and there was
no $9.84 or any charge I didn't make myself. Whew. So I'm good to go for
any New Year's sales, but where are they? Other than MBV I haven't gotten
anything. Really wasn't planning on buying juice, I'm going the whole month
of December without buying juice! But could always stock up on toppers and
was thinking of a couple of batts, plus considering some White Cloud Flings to
have on hand. Hmmm.

Oh darn, just give me a minute....... Ok, check again. :p Seriously though, keep an eye on it over the next several weeks. People have been getting nailed with that charge (and others) since the beginning of November and it is on-going.

your wish come true........

I need to make a sign to cover up their 'Mail Delivered By 11am' one. I'm debating between 'Mail Delivered If/When We Feel Like It' & 'Mail Occasionally Delivered, Please Check Back Next Week'

As of 1:30 today I still don't have Fridays mail. Maybe I just need a government job. Sitting on my .... doing nothing doesn't pay the bills as a woodworker.
