I am asking yall guys this cause I can't really get a quick answer on the DIY board. I just want to make sure that this is what I think it is.......236 ml Unflavored Nicotine Juice USA made - Mt Baker Vapor - Electronic Cigarettes

From what I understand if I want to vape say 15 ml of this at 10 to 12 mg nic all I need to do is at 2.1 ml of flavoring and the rest of the bottle this stuff. Am I right? I just keep seeing on this site http://www.myfreedomsmokes.com/unflavored-nic-liquid/unflavored-nicotine-smoke-juice-e-liquid/ but I don't know if its straight nic or not. I still planning on getting all my stuff from MBV cause they have always treated me right I was just curious if this was the same thing or not.

Thanks!

I feel your pain. Years ago, I had a full blown woodworking shop and was doing more furniture building than anything. One Monday morning I walked into the shop and discovered someone else liked my tools more than I did. They walked out, well probably not walked, with everything ... including my tooth brush. Don't ask. I was devastated. About 6 months later, I was offered a job with a custom yacht builder building cabinets and built-ins. Probably the most enjoying job I've ever had. That's when I really got into the cordless tools ... wood handled chisels I could shave with, a collection of Japanese saws, way too many planes, etc., but my favorite was an old Stanley cabinet scraper. Nothin' more relaxing than drawing it across a piece of mahogany or teak and watching the wood sparkle and come to life. You don't even come close with sandpaper.

Corded tools would have been nice when I made cocobolo and bubinga boxes with hand cut dove tails.
One whack with the mallet and my shavable chisels became old time hockey smiles.
I quit sharpening them and just hit harder. It worked but no more hand cut bubinga thanks anyway lol.

Congrats :thumb: It is easy to wick. If you're using cotton balls, every once in awhile you'll use too much cotton or not enough but I'm guessing that will be an easy learning curve for you.

So.....was I right? Will you now abandon silica?? :D

Actually, I think you are right :) at least as far as my Igo-L goes. Way too easy to change wick for changing flavors, etc. This is actually working as a great vape, 1.0Ω microcoil. Very smooth, I think the cotton has a lot to do with it. I'm still not sure I want to use cotton on the Russian 91 when I get it, for tanks I really like fill and go, so I'm not sure I want to fuss with the wick every tank or 2. Time will tell :)

You will enjoy it and if you anything like me you won't be able to go back to silica! The other day I was bored so I had made me a build with silica and it was nowhere close. I like it cause all you have to do is slide it out and replace it without having to do a whole to rebuild. So far I have a coil that is going on a month!

That is awesome! Not building a new coil very often would be nice.

While we're at it, for anyone who would, please critique my work:

4 pics of the build process. Any glaring defects in my coil or wick?

If you are adding 2.1ml flavoring to 12.9ml of 18mg/ml nic base, your final juice mix will end up very close to 15.5mg/ml. The flavoring level is 14% (about equivalent to MBV base plus one flavor shot). HTH :)

That build should get you started. Once you wrap more coils, you'll be able to get them all straight and lined up like good little soldiers. I personally bring the coil closer to the edge of the cup so that they are just on the other side of the air hole. So my legs are longer. You will notice flavor differences once you play with the distance of the coil in relation to the air hole. I also make sure to raise the coil up enough from the deck that the air flows both over and under the coil (the height does make a difference, IMO). HTH :)

What's not fun is boring into end grain with 1 3/8" forstner bits.
Here's a pencil cup made from some 60+ year old mahogany.
It was being used as floorboards upstairs in a barn.
It was actually an unidentifiable gray wood they were going to toss.
They ran some through a planer to see what it was and the angels sang.
That was in the 60s so the tree must have been cut for lumber much more than 60 years ago.
Maybe more than 100.
Nothing special about the cup without the story.

I made about a dozen travel mugs from different woods.
Burned through various sized forstner bits. oh well. no more end grain projects.
It's a smokey frustrating job but my travel mugs rock.

Yeah, I was thinking the coil could look better :) Thanks :toast:

Ok thanks...is that second link the same thing as what MBV offers?

Reminds me of when I had to work with some Lignum Vitae. It flat wore me out, as well as my tools, but sure was purty. :)

Sweet! Nice dovetails and love the contrast of the ebony. I so need to get back into woodworking.
