Have you tried a good scrubbing of everything? I don't have Metallica in my Crackin but I am really sensitive to metal drip tips. If you clean them out really well & often they don't have nearly as strong as a metallic taste to them. So perhaps it just needs a good cleaning? Just a thought, I don't have one myself.

Glad to see you back, I missed the the other day. But I did go out & have Kinkos make up 10,000 "Free The Curt" signs. Not sure what I'm going to do with those now. I'm thinking about using them to decorate Butch's front lawn. I think the rusted out pick up truck could use the company.

I found I had to degunk for while. Mine are clones, they pre-installed, premade SS Mesh wicks were so soaked in machine oil the burned for quite some time.

And yep, this. If you haven't pulled the whole thing apart and given it a good long scrub and soak, the metallic taste is probably machine oil (assuming it's a clone). Yum.

That's even more cruel than the fact that I came thisclose to being named Harley Davidson. Thanks, Mom, for intervening there... I love Harleys but I was tormented quite enough in school without being named for them!

When I was working for a hospital in South Florida in the business office and auditing accounts that needed to place outsourced, I came upon the name of this guy and had to wonder what parent would do this to their child, they named him "Hees Guilty" that was just totally mean. Can't imagine growing up with a name like that, you just can't win with that name!
