Loving the speed steeping option in my ultrasonic. Cutting steep time down from 2 weeks to 2 days! I haven't tested all my flavors yet but so far, it's done the job on nearly all the ones I've done. I've got my MBV stuff in there now (day 2, 60-ish minutes, though it's a bit off and on since the time stops the unit every 3 minutes and I have to go turn it back on, so sometimes the water has a bit of time to cool down in between if I can't get back to it right away.
I have the el cheapo $30, 3 minute cycle UC from Harbor Freight.
I use a rubber band holding a kibble nugget to keep the on button pressed down.
I use it that way for 1/2 hour to 1 hour cycles.
I use a turkey baster to replace the hot water with cold water whenever I think of it.
Cooler water should help to extend the UC's life.
If it lasts a month this way I feel that I got my money's worth.
If it doesn't last a month I'll return it for the bigger, more robust model.
I've steeped over a pint of juice this way maybe a quart.
It works.
Glass works best in the UC BTW
I also use the seed method for the juices that I already have some fully steeped.
I noticed that effect in my 15ml Butterscotch bottle that I was refilling before reading about it.
In any case, I'll be testing my Caramel Apple in just a few minutes, and I'll get back atcha...

Okay, I'm back!

Here's my consensus. At 8W (approx 4.7v on my 2.8 atty) I'm not really tasting the caramel at all, it's all apple. Brought it down to 6W (4.1v on a 2.8 atty) and I'm getting more of the caramel along with the apple. It's not a really strong caramel and I think the apple still dominates, but it's a lot more balanced than at the higher temp. If you want it a bit more carmel-ly, I wonder if this would mix well with a little butterscotch to enhance the caramel flavor a bit? I think someone else in this thread did something like this, no? Possibly it was the Cinnamon Bun it was mixed with. I could see that making a nice Cinnamon Apple Pie type of flavor...
Overall, a pretty tasty vape. I can see me vaping this at different temps depending on whether I'm in the mood for a more fruity refreshing vape or a more carmel-ly bakery one.
Oh and by the way, my juice is 65/35 +1 flavor shot.
I'm vaping my MBV DIY CA @ 12.5% flavoring 18mg 70/30 right now. Yum.
I might try tweaking the % someday but 12.5% works great and might just be nailing MBV +1
