No it's nic that has been converted by a chemical process to be smoother, (in most cases) some say more rapidly absorbed although the data on that is not clear.

Mostly used in pods, AIO, and other puny devices at very high levels to give nic satisfaction. However, you can vape it sub0hm if you so desire at the right percentage. Some folks just like it, some want higher nic levels than their throat can tolerate with freebase, etc.

No one particular brand, there are plenty of them.

Have you vaped it? What does it feel like when you take a hit?

I much prefer freebase. For me freebase is just more substantial at the same mg, nic salts has me feeling like something is missing.
Others prefer nic salts. We are all different.

I like the amount of throat hit I’m getting now so no problem there.

you use 50mg/ml freebase, correct?
You like the throat hit you are getting.
I think you would feel let down by 50mg/ml nic salts.
I mixed some 18mg, 12mg and 6mg unflavoured nic salts and felt like I got a better nic hit with the 3.5mg unflavoured freebase than I did with the 6mg nic salts.
The 12mg nic salts hit but not in the right way and the 18mg nic salts was too much nicotine but not the right hit for me and the feeling of satiation didnt last as long as my 3.5mg freebase.
Its just the way Im wired maybe.
Its more expensive and for me doesnt do the right job at any mg. My neighbor has switched from freebase to nic salts just recently and prefers it but where she was using 12mg freebase and feeling satiated she now uses 25mg nic salts. Costs more and she uses more, but she prefers her vape experience more and had her last cig using nic salts, so, thats a win.
Maybe try some and see if it works for you.

Yeah, you can see a wide range of differences just in this thread. Nicotine vapor seems to react differently in different people.

I vaped it almost exclusively for a long time, my respiratory system was a mess when I got here. I did not feel magical, weird, different or much of anything. I did not get a throat hit, nor do I feel I need one.

I use freebase now because I'm better and it's perfectly fine. I DIY with it because it's cheaper frankly. I like freebase Just Fine.

Everyone has to try this for themselves etc.
