.....At one point I was tracking 22 packages.
I'm currently waiting on 10.

Sir, please put down the credit card and slowly back away. We'll have a team of recovered vape gear addicts in here to talk you down shortly. ;)
I'm not part of the recovery team- sorry :)
**psst** Many of know the card # by heart.

Also, you have a lot of cool stuff to show for it where with smoking you've got nothing but a lingering stink.
PREACH!

I don't know, I miss using a cool leather and steel marlboro lighter cover my fiance got me.
You could always use it to torch coils- that's if you're into rebuildables.

LMAOOOOO @ arson!

..... It's kind of turning into a hobby... Or should I say obsession? :)
Obsession works for me.

As someone who's been vaping 3 yrs i think I can say it will tapper off.

My husband and I both vape so when we started on all the devices and carto we had to buy enough for both of us. We probably should have just got one tried it then bought enough for us both if we liked it but we didnt and still don't.

From what I seen and experienced after 6 mo or so it will slow a lot. At first your just settling in and finding out what you like and what you don't. Once you get a good grip on that there will be more and more items you pass up because you already know it won't be what you want. You will learn how wonderfull the forums and YouTube are for checking every product before you buy it as well.

I still have spurts of high spending but very seldom. Usually when I get into a new part of vaping. For example I'm just beginning to see how awesome rda are. And yes had to buy 2 of each. I actually only bought each of us an rsst and octopus clone to check it out. Most of the money has gone toward different wire and wick options to see what we like best on each device.

Basically every time you try a different path in vaping it leads down a rabbit hole but none as big or taking as much time as your first when you begin to vape.

I definately recommend the DIY rabbit hole since it will save a lot of money. Not to mention you can easily customize your juice for what you want that day. Example I have a high and low nic I go between all day. I premix all my juice except for adding nic so i can choose each day exactly what flavor I will want in high or low and everything else is preprepared so it is steeped and makes my prep for the day faster. This works without diluting my flavor because i use a high nic base. If you do DIY though read up on safety and proper handling of nicotine and maybe even start with a lower like 36 mg base till you get used to working with it.

I can’t believe you fell for the "cheaper than smoking" line.

Have patience, the spending sprees do mellow out over time. However, 22 packages? 8-o You are giving Zoe a run for her credit limit. Perhaps you two can get adjoining storage lockers?

Just confess now and get it over with. “Hello, my name is Widow’s Son and I am addicted to vaping.”

The getting started in vaping is more expensive than smoking. Very few people are lucky enough to pick the right equipment and juice combination the first time out of the box. With 22 packages incoming, you should have some combination of equipment and juice that will work for you. And you will have backups already. Now set yourself a minimum budget for the next few months. And stick to it. If you want, put the money you would have spent on cigarettes into a jar. There is your budget. For the next couple of months it goes towards your credit card. By then, you should be over the hump.

At least, that is what they say.

FYI, I've been Vaping since feb/13. I've spent every penny from not smoking on Vape supplies etc etc, so Vapeing only cost what I would have spent on cigarettes. That's 3500 bucks to date, I don't need to spend another cent and can now save about 80 bucks a week, that would add up fast.

However there's always some shiny thing I want to try, so no foul.

It does tapper off, I'm just not sure which is easiet, quitting smoking or quitting buying Vape stuff lol.

I prorated equipment cost based on expected lifespan and figured in how much I smoked per day as opposed to how much juice I use in a day. I went from more than $3 a day for generic smokes and $5 for name brand down to less than $.30 per day on DIY and still less than $1 a day if I decide to buy some "professionally" mixed liquid.

Of course, I don't have an urge to keep buying more stuff so I will be back in the black (without prorating) by mid December.

I have saved around $1200 + in a year by vaping and giving up analogs.

Every time i went and bought smokes for 35 years I ended up buying more than just smokes so the cost was greater than just smoking, its cleaver marketing.

You have fell into a trap a big business trap same as smoking but vaping Cleaver vaping marketing.

You are buying what you think you need and others hint you may need.

Ego Batteries dual coil carts and a couple of KR808s for when you go to functions with Chinese juice from a good seller is all you need to replace cigarettes.

Or spend all your money on vape gear just like some spend on cocktail cigarettes and Cuban cigars!

I smoked 50 a day for many years and dont need all the fancy vape gear because smoking was not a hobby neither is vaping. :)

Anyone else absolutely not fall into this category...

Look, I'm glad I finally kicked analogs after 20 years, I can't believe vaping is so satisfying... I fell into the category of "I don't want to quit" I enjoy it too much, yet here I am... a non-smoker. :O

I'm not even a month in yet (25 days) but I've never gone this long without a smoke and I don't even care, I enjoy vaping so far, although I'm a little worried what will happen when I run out of gear to buy.

My smoking addiction has changed into buying vaping gear...

I used to smoke a pack a day, but I've spent almost a years worth of cigarette smoking in 25 days on all kinds of crap.

At one point I was tracking 22 packages.. I'm completely addicted to vaping gear, and at this rate it will cost me a hell of a lot more than smoking ever did.

I guess the justification is my health, but crap... smoking was a lot cheaper than vaping.

And that's the truth.

it appears you are more addicted to the choice then the actual reward. or the fact that perhaps you are not on the inside of how to buy and produce your need correctly.
me i started smoking at the age of 12, i am now 43 yrs old. i have been smoke free for 6 months. and have yet to find my vape money consumption be even close to what i spent on analogs.
learn to make your own juice, and how to build your own attys. / coils....

you will be able to spend less then $150 bucks for a years worth of some great vapeing once you have the proper equipment that should run you about $150 bucks for a lot of things to work with.
do your research!!!!
total that is about 300 bucks for a years worth of vape.. when depending on where one lives they could spend that much in a month or less or 2 months on analogs...
i dont know you but in my opinion you seem to have problem that is not so much related to vaping as it is to being a vape consumer of products you want but not necessarily need....

All highly qualified professionals... The reason it'll take a while for them to get to you is it's only been a short while since they've 'recovered' and they'll have a problem scrapping together the gas-money to get there... The bank under the couch cushions having been raided too many times to count already... :)

I am trying to figure out how you managed to mangle the original post and come up with this ^.

You took this persons ENJOYMENT of SHOPPING and made up your mind he doesn't care about his health, too stupid to know HOW to spend his money, needs to DIY juices, needs to build coils, ohhh.....and needs to do research.

What are .....the lil vaper who could?

New vapers are notoriously addicted to buying new toys to play with. I think the main reason this happens is that you're looking for the perfect vape, and trying new things lets you find out what works to achieve that goal. There are others, however, that just want to have a bunch of toys to play with and collect, and that's fine too if it's what you like.

You can save money by finding the setup that gives you that perfect vape, then stop buying anything that's not essential to maintain it. That's pretty much what I did. I now vape unflavored diy, and am running a 3 year old Silver Bullet. I order atty's once a year along with my supply of nic base, and replacement batteries. Total cost is around $25 per month. Yeah, I've bought a couple of extra, and unnecessary things along the way, but when you've found your perfect vape, there's not much room for improvement.
