My bitcoins attack got hacked, lost all my money :( sad day

Please be careful guys when you deal with online money exchange sites and services. I was trading my bitcoins in one of the most popular exchanges and guess what happened - some hacker got to my account and wiped it clean. about 6.9 bitcoins gone. Look how much they are worth. 230$ per coin. Over 1200$ in losses in one day. And I was hoping to sell and then pay for rent and food. Pretty desperate and miserable now, because I didn't take necessary precautions. Stay safe and careful guys! This is very bad.

Seems to me this shows the major drawback of bitcoins. There's nothing of value that you actually possess. It's just virtual money. Really sorry for your loss!

I know how you feel. I had set up the program on a server to process transactions at my old job(early 2009). I saw the price a few weeks ago and figured it was time to cash in, but I can't find the back up of my wallet. I had around 29 bc when I left in 2011 and I have no access to the server anymore. I'm not on good terms with the people who took over(I left the company to start a new one with the old owners) or I would contact them. Sad thing is, the program is most likely running on the server still.
