My cardiologist asked me, "You've never smoked, right?"

NURSES were the very BEST to make me feel 'taken care of' when I was in the hospital...and when my roomie was there for 3 months last year. (He's still recovering from 27 days in ICU. Progress is slow, but it's still happening. Nurses took care of not only the patient, but also ME when I was feeling completely down and depressed over the situation.

NURSES = my HIGHEST respect and gratitude!

Thank you for what YOU do!

I tend to agree with you there. :) My son is a Nurse and my DIL is a Nurse Practitioner :D
I really dislike when people say they hate a group or profession. Yes, there are bad and good ones out there. I focus on the good ones and don't go back to the bad ones. ;)

We have returned to ICU every 3 months, to express our gratitude for the tender CARE the nurses gave my friend...and ME...during that terrible ordeal.

While he was in ICU, nurses regularly told me they NEVER see patients again, once they leave ICU. I told them, "WE will be different...we WILL come back, so you can see the results of YOUR efforts."

We have returned to ICU 3 times over the past year, and were greeted with TEARS of HAPPINESS each time!

We will return to ICU in TWO WEEKS, so they can see the results of ONE YEAR post ICU.

Roomie is still healing....but the important part is that he's STILL 'healing'.

One day at a time...that's how we roll...
