So, I used redgirl's recipe.
FA Pear
Cinnamon, & Cinnamon Red Hots from TPA that I bought at Good Prophets
Both the cinnamon & cinnamon red hots were dark in color, packaged in glass bottles before I mixed them, but they were a dark colored clear.

I mixed with 100mg/ml nic & VG, however the final mixture appears to be "milky" in color, totally something that I don't think that I want to vape. Is this normal for this recipe? I've never mixed a cinnamon recipe before, & this was my first.

Noooo ....... I make this for a few people that love it and have never had it turn milky at all. It will be a clear yellowish to start and turn slightly red with steep time. Wonder if something may be wrong with your flavors? maybe someone else has had this happen but I have made this juice alot.

Sounds like the cinnamon oil didn't dissolve. If you used too much this will happen since it is largely insoluble in water. Try heating the juice up by tossing the bottle in a bowl of hot water...oh, wait, if the juice bottle is glass place it carefully in a bowl of hot water.

Another thing about oils: you use VERY little, certainly much less than a water-soluble flavor.

And about hot cinnamon in particular: if you start having problems, like sore lungs, sore throat, breathing problems, stop vaping it. Some have no problems with it, but I have seen many a horror story in the health thread. Cinnamaldehyde, that which makes cinnamon hot, can cause all sorts of tissue problems, from the mouth all the way down through the intestines and colon. Certainly does to me, and this is a known tissue irritant. Not trying to scare you, and you may be perfectly ok with it, but be aware of its risks.

No need to toss it really. Just add some PGA to it. With the cinnamon you need to add it to the PG first, then mix it well, then add any VG components.

Thank you so much for replying on this!!
the milky-ness has seemed to even out over the past few days.............but i haven't vaped it yet. lol
i'm still kinda scared to vape cinnamon at all.

I vaped nothing but Cinnamon for a year and a quarter. My nose dripped most that time. I got three fever blisters. I got facial pimples. The final straw was I started coughing again. Haven't smoked an analog in more than 7 months. I finally throwed in the towel on my beloved Cinnamon. Using nothing but Nic, VG, & PGA now. Haven't coughed since I switched. Dammit. . .I loved my Cinnamon. I'm a heavy vaper, load my 5mL tank into the third fill on my days off. Decided it would be a shame to quit tobacco cigs after 52 years only to Cinnamon myself to death. Maybe it's just me, or maybe it's something else. JMHO

Cheers,
otrpu
