I like to think of myself as a simple person, and when I went into my first Starbucks it was like where on this mammoth menu is a darn regular coffee, I walked out and have never returned, I just wanted a coffee not a relationship sheesh.

You need to see coffee on a menu at a coffee establishment in order to order coffee? Just askin.

I really started to dig on peets.
We really like Peet's and I believe we have some of their beans here in the house right now.

...and there really are no shops around me that are NOT starbucks...
There is a Starbucks at pretty much every freeway exit around here.
And we have a LOT of freeway exits, and a LOT of freeways for that matter.
But yeah, there are hardly any other coffee places around.

We have one Dunkin' Donuts about 20 minutes away.
We have a Peet's about 15 minutes away.
And we have a Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf about 15 minutes away.

One of the Starbucks is 5 minutes away, and another is right next to the dog park my wife takes the dog to every day.
And that is when she gets her coffee.
:(

We used to have a mom & pop coffee place about 10 minutes away, and my wife would often go there.
They have been out of business for a couple of years now.

I ought to go stand outside and vape and DARE them to ask me to move.
I'd be lying if I said I am not thinking about doing something like this myself.

I never liked Starbucks coffee and I never got what all the buzz was about them. Maybe because I grind my own beans daily and make a really good cup of coffee myself! LOL Anyway I never go there and had one cup on a freebie I got years ago. bnrk
The thing about Starbucks, at least where I live, is that they are EVERYWHERE.

And also, they have great desserts, cakes, and snacks, and great breakfast foods if you are watching your waistline.
Their lunches choices don't suck either.

This morning I went to McDonald's instead of Starbucks.

Same here, nothing like fresh ground beans. The few times I've had starjunk, I hated it.

I wonder how many people would boycott Facebook, given that they also consider e-cigarettes a tobacco product.

Prohibited Content (Facebook)

Not many, I'd expect. :/

My facebook account costs me nothing. It is free. I don't by from any of their ads either. Starbucks is not free. See the difference? I have never bought any their products so I guess I started my boycott 30 years ago.

I've been boycotting Peets for years, because they ban the legal and lawful carry of firearms by lw-abiding citizens--concealed or open.

Any business that won't respect my right to defend myself and my family, but refuses to accept liability for our safety doesn't get my business...

Casting an electoral ballot is free, too. Guess the boycott is bigger than we thought. :/

Not all votes that count involve money.

Thy're coffee isn't even good and is overepriced, here is yet another reason to avoid them.

I like Dunkin' original too, a big strong fat cup of palatable coffee at a reasonable price (must use inner jedi to resist urge to buy donuts for breakfast though.) Mmmmmmm donuts....

Lavazza, Coffee Bean both of their coffee tastes better and give more kick imo

I'd join you in your boycott but I love Starbucks! It's my other addiction. I think there is a little crack in every cup. Mmmmm Starbucks Mocha's are a little bit of heaven. I encourage everyone to boycotted Starbucks. Then the line will be shorter for me.

There is sooo much better coffee out there, really. :)

Wow. I didn't even realize that there was such an issue with vaping outside of Starbucks.

I regularly sit at a patio table and vape. Sometimes my husband is with me and smokes. We've never had anyone say a word to us.

Well, I'm kind of torn. If the powers that be are going to be anti-vaping, I don't want to give THEM my business. On the other hand, my Starbucks has been cool about it. So I feel like I would be punishing this franchise owner for the policies that their corporate sets into place even though they're not enforcing them.

Their policy went into effect June 1st. Have you been back since then?
