so any mor eupdates on the mod? How do you see where you are on the list?

Well according to rules I can't really make a list or post anything until approved as a supplier. I can't post updates or finding either, or new projects as this would be seen as self advertisment.

This is from the rules I was given...

"You are cordially asked not to post ANY reference to your products or services UNTIL YOU ARE APPROVED. This includes preference polls or ideas of products such as proposed concepts. If you disregard this, you might find yourself perma-banned and/or with a fee payable before your registration approval"

"You will not have permission to access any Private Supplier Forum, reviews forums, New Members Forum or the Classifieds during this process nor be able to send PMs or to post visitor messages on member profiles. No signature or links or avatars that are business-related are allowed."

So please bear with me guys and gals, I like ecf and understand why approval is needed. I am kind of peeved that while waiting for approval I can't do anything, I miss my avatar, and I miss brainstorming with the other modders here. But I am sure it will be worth the wait and trust me, if I am approved as a supplier/modder I will be coming back with a bang as I have been very busy in this down time.

Hey Clumsy, it looks like as long as MrPuffer gets indoctrinated as a supplier, we may get the mini juice box relatively quick. Lot quicker than the regular jb. I like this one so much, it's small and should fit just perfectly in my hand. Please mod g-ds, or the powers that be, let Mr. Puffer in. I beg of you!!:(

Well found some news today, may explain why the long wait and it may be a little longer.

Ugh. I read that post. If you ask me the 'powers that be' on this forum are being a little paranoid. For one thing, ECF has zero liability in such incidents. For another thing, that entire post could have been summed up in one statement..."use protected batteries".

Now we gotta go though some UL approval before posting a mod? please:rolleyes:

Besides, incidents that happen to ppl using unprotected batts is just natural selection if you ask me.

Just my .02

BTW: just so I'm not totally OT here. How much are you planning on selling the Mr Puffer for, MrPuff?

- A kill switch
[a second switch that disconnects the batteries totally during transport and storage]
Looks like whole sub forums of commercial US made big battery mods will have to be eliminated. The majority of the most recommended and respected US mods have no kill switch.

I don't think I am allowed to say a price...I really miss posting on all my ideas. But if you look at post 79 in this thread I indicated a price at the bottom. I made that post before applying to be a supplier, and things have changed a lot since then but it will give you some rough ideas what I was thinking back then.

*puts cork back in mouth*

Oh HP, great work in your mods, I havent been posting in other threads so much but you have some cool stuff going on.

Thanks MP. Your box looks very nice too. I think you might be a little low on your price point though. You will not be able to keep up with the flood of orders you are going to get at that cost.
I'm pretty sure I'll be ordering one when you launch. ;) Love the small size you have made it.
Just curious, can't that tube be a little smaller though? Maybe a small brass 90 going into the cart so that tube can go strait up out of the box and hug the atty a little. (sorry if this has already been addressed...I haven't read the thread in its entirety)

I certainly understand the advice of using protected batteries... but a kill switch? Ummm - my regular batteries don't have that. Some of my commercial mods don't have that. Wouldn't instructions to remove the battery during transport accomplish the same thing? Perhaps I'm missing something, but aren't simple solutions often the best? I must be missing something....

And the prototype of this mod has a kill switch. Venting shouldn't be an issue - a couple of holes and that is taken care of. Keep it as a single battery mod and the stacking/HV issue is covered.

Regardless, I agree with highping, people are always going to do dumb stuff. Why does society try so hard to protect people from themselves instead of allowing them to be responsible for themselves? (Sorry for the philosophical question!)

MrPuff, I hope your approval comes soon!
