with such a close air space and a coil that is not tight(maybe work on getting those coils to touch) the air is kind of directed to just a small section of the coil, this inhibits vaporization slightly. if air can be spread out more along the coil it should make for more vapor.

oh wow ok cool, here now ill just recoil the whole thing with double twisted wire. ill post my new coil once im done you can let me know what you think

also I would actually add a little length to the wick as well. I always found it better for the wick tail to be in better contact with the deck, sort of a slight bend or slight bunch against the bottom part. sometimes if the wick is away slightly from the deck it can possibly move away as the juice comes up into the atty. also push the wick tail slightly against the side wall also so it should touch the deck bottom and slightly touch the side of the deck as well

there is definitely a fine line between too much cotton and not enough. I like the tails fluffy while the part inside the coil slightly free. as you slide in the cotton you should have some resistance as you slide in the piece, but if it starts to bunch up a lot its slighty to much. when I do mine I like a fair amount of resistance while pulling thru the cotton and then I try to slide over the cotton and reduce the amount of cotton just in the middle, I then slide this section back into the coil. this way I have a reduced amount of cotton just in the middle where the coil is.

one more thing, in the pic it looks like the coil is not centered over the hole (this might just be the angle of the photo) but try to center it perfectly and make sure the sides of the coils don't touch the screw heads. also like I said before your coil is not tight, this really doesn't matter a whole lot as long as it heats up from the middle outwards and there are no shorts but what I don't like is a coil sticking out past the ends of the deck, this brings the cotton tails in contact with the last lead wire going to the screws, it also makes the wire leads angled from the coil inwards to the screws, this just puts pressure on the coil. if you tightened up the coil it wouldn't hang over the deck edge. for long coils you should angle the coil on a 45 degree angle, this keeps the coil from hanging over the edge. but like I said its kind of hard to tell from the pics if this is really happening

not sure if anyone is following this thread but after three more coil attempts this is what ive got....i still dont feel like this is giving me enough vapor or the vapor that a kayfun should be putting out, oh well at least it vapes..i guess lol im calling it quits for the night ill try this again later as its rather irritating. if by chance anyone is following this ill keep you guys updated tomorrow if youre interestedunnamed (6).jpg

Hey buddy how is the draw? I have heard in certain clones that there has been obstructions in the airflow. Some had stated that they had found some sort of plastic thingy in which they had removed. I have heard this as recently as yesterday in the kayfun thread. A restricted airflow would definitely make a difference

My latest KFL clone had some shavings from the bottom positive post insulator inside of it. But in that one's case, even that didn't fix the unusable draw it came with. I suspect the air hole wasn't fully drilled through or there was machining debris inside of it that I could not remove. Drilling it out fixed it up.

I got another at the same time for my wife's MVP....no issues with that one, same clone.

Totally agree with the clones most are pretty dam good but others have issues, it's a crap shoot sometimes for sure.
