Great !

I'll have a cup of tea and come back for pictures of the finished article :)
Make it a BIG pot of tea! LOL my 2AA box is a little different, it has a screw to close it up, which causes a little trouble placing the switch.
I have two tact switches, now trying to figure out which one to use.
One is the very big one Nico used in the second mod post. The other one I got is very very small, but I like it!

EDIT to add: I used the big one, I think bigger is better when its your first time.

love it Wildsky.....I am so impressed with all these females getting involved with making great mods. I have never met a girl in my life that would have had the slightest interest in doing something like that.
:D Thanks Pete, its all thanks to Nico for her great instructions and pictures. I'm just bummed I'm going to have to wait for batteries before I can try it out!

Ha ha...that reminds me of all those xmas's when I was a kid opening up a new toy and finding out we didn't have any batteries for it!

Wow, great work Wildsky! That looks wonderful for a fourth try, but a first try, unbelievable. If you are superanxious to try it out you can spend $20 at Rat Shack for 1 Saft 14500 battery that is not rechargeable. You could also put regular batteries in a 4xAA box and clamp the wires from that box to the where the battery ends would be in your mod. I have done this while impatiently waiting for a battery to charge.

Waiting on my batts too. They left NY on the 12th and I am only in VT. They still were not in the mail today. It's a shame that it is taking longer to recive from one state away than it took from China  @ USPS

I knew I could'nt wait Wildsky that is why I built a 4AA box mod first so I could use 3x NImH which works very well. 2 day vape easy.

You also chose a great switch. They are big but have great action and feel very nice pluss with a 3A capasity it won't burn out with this project.

Make shure when you solder that you tin everything. Heat each conection seaperatly and apply solder. That way it gets a chance to cool and when you atach the wire (also tinned) you don't have to add solder. Solder on the wire and conection will melt. Hold for a sec then relese. We do this because it has to heat the metal on the wire and conector before it will acept the solder. With some components the plastic may start to melt and something like a switch won't be a switch anymore just a big wire :D Also tinning frees up a hand. You don't need a hand for the iron, solder wire and conector. I have soldered with my teeth before and let me tell you it aint fun;)

LOL my hubby was pretty impressed, he's going to "teach" me how to solder.. I've tried once before and made a mess, so this time he'll show me the "right" way (apparently) to do it! LOL

I was so tempted to buy an extra set of batteries and an extra charger, so I'd be able to pass on to someone else in need like I am now... LOL but alas, I only bought one set and I haven't even heard if its shipped from Dealtime yet.

Dang $20 and its not re-chargable, thats a scary thought, unless it lasts a MONTH 8-o

I have a 4aa box still intact, but the one I stole the switch from I'm looking at it really hard, I kinda measured to see if the regular 901 batteries could be "stored" in there, they're JUST too long, but I'm going to do something with that box, I just need to figure it out - perhaps for spare atomizers, carts and a battery for on the go. :)

I'm worried that switch is a very tight squeeze in there. 8-o the wires are probably going to be touching the back "panel" when I put that back on.

The 3ml bottles from USPlastics or Juicy Liquid fit quite nicely in the battery slots. Maybe an atty, a battery, and 2 liquids - a day's worth of vaping in a neat little box.;)

Saft 3.6V/2600mAh High-Capacity Lithium Backup Battery - RadioShack.com

Is this the battery Nico?
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I'm going to have to buy another switch, like the one I used, I only bought ONE but two of everything else, if I get another switch I can make another one. :p Battery is $9 but how long does it last?

A regular 901 battery is 180 mAh. 2600mAh should last 14.4 times as long as a regular 901 battery. So a day and a half maybe 2 days.

Oh, forgot. That is the battery I was speaking of.

I'm looking at Battery Junction right now.... I can get 2 batteries and a charger for just under $40 (incl shipping) I'll think about it for a little bit. 8-o

Shipping does not change much between shipping 3 items and shipping 10. It might make your per piece cost lower - just a thought.
