LOL I did them, hubby "fixed" the one I did it was sticking up in a point! He also cut the wires and pulled off the plastic at the end of them (after he saw me using my TEETH - LOL)

Oh darn, I missed the nibbling:evil:

Seriously though, I have used kitchen knives, the sharp edge of scissors, a boxcutter, a pocketknife, whatever is available. Just please don't use duct tape or WD40 in your mods. I might then have to put you in the Hillbilly category in my mind. That category is nowhere near as fun as the category you are currently in.

:D I was using hubby's little pocket tool thingie, but dang that thing cut through the wire so easily I was scared to try strip that last little piece of plastic off with it, I thought for SURE I'd cut it right through again and end up with a wire too short! :)
Hubby couldn't STAND not seeing what I was up to - so he came to take a look and then helped with that wire stripping stuff.. :D (he strips well!)

He was nervously hovering the entire time!

Thank you for being a playful soul. I so needed that smile you just gave me. It takes a while to get the hang of just how much pressure is needed to cut through only the insulation and not the wire, especially with the smaller wires.

Hi guys just a heads up. I seen a lot of people complaining it takes a long time to get there batteries from deal extreme. Why not pay a few dollars extra and get the m from Battery Junction they have the Ultra fire 14500 AA sized 3.6V Li-Ion Rechargeable Battery 900 mAh CR14500 in stock. They ship from Connecticut and they ship fast. I placed an order with them and they delivered to my door in two days. Just thought I mention it as a lot of people here think the only place they get these is at deal extreme. Ice:)

:D I couldn't STAND it anymore and ordered the batteries from that Battery Junction place, I hope they're ON THE BALL and get those out right away - right now DAMNIT! :D (priority shipping so I'll probably get it in a week)

WoooooHooooooooooooooooooooo

A single 1.5v AA might warm the atomzer just enough to tell that the wiring is correct.

Just an idea (and I hope not a wrong one, not hot on batteries): a way to make the mod usable, for satiating the desire to try it and check it's wired ok, you could try 2 x 1/2 length AA cells (2 fit in the length of one). If these were alkaline, this would give 3v which gives a mellow vape with plenty of taste but less fog; and a slightly delayed heat up.

Most excellent suggestion Kinabaloo. You rock.

Edit: It won't work after all. The voltage is too high.

they sure do make it look easy eh?

The most difficult part is learning to solder, and that is really fairly simple if you follow directions and keep trying. The folks here are really quite friendly and helpful. They have taken me from being a scaredy cat with no soldering iron in sight to posting instructions. You really can do this, if you choose to. Check out Wildsky's first ever attempt.

Those batteries you suggested are available locally at drugstores and department stores. You gotta look for the specialty batteries, but they are there. Those and the size N (are those 1/3 AA?).

On checking I found 1/2 AAs are not suitable (not 1.5v). Pity.

I loaded up the 4aa box and tried to connect it to my mod box, but I didn't get anything out of it, either I wasn't connecting properly to the 4aa box, or something else is wrong, I don't want to fiddle with it and break the dern thing before I even get a proper battery into it. LOL

I don't have anything to tell me which side of what is pos. and which is neg, so I followed the pictures very closely... I just asked hubby to look and he said it looks like I did it right!
I'll just have to wait I guess till a proper battery arrives.

The wiring looks correct (just had another look). Is the slide switch 'on'?

Try 'off' too ... Easy to mix up when wiring from the upside down position ;)
Yeah I didn't know which was on and which was off so I tried in both positions.

I wasn't sure on the tact switch - if it has one side supposed to be on one side or another, but it didn't seem to be so I just connected it.
The connection thing for the atomizer was tricky - the pic's I see have only two connections sticking down from it. Mine had three.

Judging by the pictures the point connected to the center of that thing, were connected to the red wire, and the one connection that came out the side kinda - connected to the black, so that is how I connected it up - otherwise everything to me looks fine.
