So what happens if you're already using NRTs?
I can't speak for your company or your insurance providers policies, most require a doctors participation in what is considered an approved NRT program.
Self administration of NRT's ( gum, patch etc) is very seldom recognized by ins / drs/ hr depts. Your levels must drop as your participation in the program continues, if they don't you have failed the program & will be considered a smoker until testing proves otherwise.
What really sucks is many are going with this a former smoker must be free from nicotine for 12 - 24 months to be re classified as a non smoker crap & since you flunked out of the NRT program, testing for reclassification is on your dime.
