But if you have no idea what the effect is on the body then any flavor number you target is totally arbitrary.
But what we can do is see where we fall on the bell curve. I think people feel if they lower their nicotine they are in turn vaping healthier. I say if their nicotine is so low they can vape 20 mls a day, they are running a higher risk of some unforeseen issue with flavoring. Basically, too much of a good thing?

Bold - As postulated previously by Dr Farsalinos?

One thing that needs to be considered is why people vape the way they do. Initially (for most), it's to stop smoking but after that the reasons will differ.

Personally, I vape for the stimulative effect that nicotine provides me but also the oral stimulation which I gained previously from smoking (I was pretty much a chain smoker, little but often was my habit).

If I were to vape less often using higher nicotine levels I would still need to find a way to satisfy the oral fixation and, knowing me, that would probably be via food. This, in turn, would have a more immediate (negative) effect upon my health than any possible dangers that may, or may not, come from flavourings.

I think nicotine is probably one of the least worse things in e-liquid...

@Mazinny, your quotation from "Topwater Elvis" is driving me nuts because I do not see it in this thread!

Nevermind the above, it magically appeared

And it is interesting because he says he is delivering 48-72mg. And per the link I gave you just above, that computes to about 30-45 cigs a day, and that should certainly peg a nic/cotinine test. Something does not compute here :)

That can't be accurate; in my case, 45mg per day (5ml x 9mg), so 45*.5/.5 (the amount of nic in the cigs I smoked) would mean 45 cigarettes a day -- I haven't smoked that much in more than 15 yrs, so if I was getting that much nicotine, it would definitely make me queasy. I was smoking no more than a pk a day of those .5mg nicotine cigarettes when I quit, and usually less, thanks to their expense.

I arrived at the number 48 by multiplying the number of MLs I vape per day times my Nicotine level. In my case it is 4 mls per day times 12 mg - 4 x 12 = 48. I drip on RDAs most of the time and 12mg nic is intense. That's why I only vape 4 mls per day.

I'm hoping to get 100 responses to this thread so I can create a bell curve and see where I fall on the curve and also to see what the average factor is. Thanks for participating.

about 30 mg per day I think
