Thanks for the read. Really enjoyed it. I couldn't agree more that things can get messy and you gotta keep trying. Personally I was sold a juice my first time that was just really low quality. Towards the end, boy, it got very smokey and very rough. I also made the mistake of trying to save money and only bought 1 juice. I got sick of the flavor towards the end.

I'd recommend committing to the idea and buying a few juices. Even explore

Also if your like me, you have 3-4 friends who have vapes. Try theirs, and try many samples.

Thanks for the kind words! The juice is so critical and quality is all over the map. Unfortunately, I've had more bad than good but this forum definitely set me straight with respect to where and what to buy.

I didn't see Anything in you Post that hasn't been Discussed here on the ECF. But what is Rare is to see That Much Information in one Singe Place ... When I started using e-Cigarettes, I read Hundreds of Threads. Picking up Bits and Pieces here and there. It is Nice for anyone New, or perhaps Not so New, to be able to get that Much Information on One Place.

That was what I was hoping to do, put all the stuff needed to get up and running in one place. Like you, I read so many thread and just tried to piece it all together. The same questions get asked and answered over and over but, for some reason, it's hard to get the right information. In the end, much of it is a personal decision, different stripes, YMMV, etc but I think there are some key things to understand before making an educated decision.

OP, thanks for this well written beginners page. I will be referring many analogs users this post as they turn to me for guidance.
As we all know it can be very time consuming in trying to help someone that asked us to. I always find better results when someone educates themselves rather than try and show them what worked for me.

Well, although I am coming at E-cigs from a different angle (hookah smoking and trying e-cigs, instead of being an analog smoker and switching to e-cigs) I really appreciate the article. Most of what you posted could be said for hookah smoking as well so I completely understand what you mean by trial and error and finding whats right for you. Great post.

Yeah... I think in Many Ways that People that are New to e-Cigarettes don't see the Entire Picture. That there are Many Factors that go into making an e-Cigarette/e-Liquid work for them.

Here is a Good Example.

I got an iTaste VV v3.0 on Friday. I didn't really need it. I use an either eGo Twist or a Vision Spinner as my Carry VVPV. But what the Heck for 40 Bucks for a Digital Readout VVPV.

Everything looked Good but It just wasn't hitting Right. Thought maybe it was Different Chip Set used in it verses my other VVPV's?

Today I dug out my DMM and a Visor Magnifier with the Plan of Seeing what the Output Voltage was. As soon as I saw the 510 Connector under Magnification I knew what the Problem was. The 4 Air Slots at the Top of the Connector were not Deep Enough. A couple of Strokes with a Jewelry File and Bingo, it's hitting just like all my Other PV's.

How Did I know about this? Because about the Time I joined the ECF, one of the Big Topics was how Air Flow Effects the Hit you get. And how Plugging the Side Holes of a 510 Atty or Drilling Out the Side Holes will alter the Atty's Draw. And that the Deep of the Connector Slots also effects Performance.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that the More a person knows about how an e-Cigarette/e-Liquid works the better their chances of being successful in switching from Analogs to Vaping.

And having One Huge Post with Tons of Information is Easier to Digest than picking up a Clue Here and a Hot Tip there.

Happy to be a resource for anyone looking to ditch that antiquated and unhealthy habit. It was a long, hard road for me and the only way out was to find something much more enjoyable.

I totally agree. This end up being both a better habit as well as a fun hobby, in my opinion. The more you know, the more fun you'll have with it!
