Yes, then you would be able to use that power (or some of it) without the danger of dry hits/overtemp in the coil. It would be a big advantage for people doing cloud competitions too.
That is a joke, doesn't even exist. It's intended to get people to do exactly what you are doing, think that "something better" is coming so you don't buy the actual revolutionary product. Truth is YiHi's technology doesn't even compete with Evolv's non-temperature dna technology, the temperature stuff is a quantum leap above that, so YiHi's several steps behind now. Notice how they crammed just about everything they could think of into that "announcement"?
China is known to do this, they make up some fake device with specifications they claim are better than whatever just came out, when it doesn't actually exist. Then they try to copy whatever it is that came out.
I do like YiHi's board but have to agree. Also who in their right mind would vape something at 250 watts?!?

I don't see why yihi chips are accused to being clones or cheap chips. They are the best in the market. They had reverse battery protection and buck circuitry way before dna. I'm not saying dna is bad but I have both and honestly the sx350 is better in what I said plus it shows you the actual battery sag which is a plus. In terms of quality no idea both work. Just sayin'
I hadn't seen the actual announcement, only saw some brief references to it when searching for info on the DNA40. If it is just crap, that sucks, but at the very least I'm sure they are at least already working on cloning the temperature protection. If they can pull it off then no doubt we'll see some higher power devices that utilize it and knowing them, very quickly. It may just be worth waiting for, in my case at least. I know what you're saying about the benefits but I honestly just don't know if I could find myself completely happy with only 40 watts. I'll certainly be keeping my eye out on the horizon though.
To me it wasn't about vaping at 250 watts... I rarely go above 70 watts.... though that's probably an artifact of my device only supporting 75 watts versus my preference. Though the vapor I can get at 75 watts definitely keeps me happy so I really don't know... My draw to the Yihi when thinking about it was simply the fact that if I'm running a set of coils at say 70 watts, that leaves a LOT of headroom for that instant heat up. Essentially meaning no lag time. Like I said, having never used one maybe my idea or thoughts are skewed, but I would certainly want to use the full 40watt potential. Right now I'm used to 40 and 50 watt setups getting that "pulse start" that pretty much instantly heats them (it puts the full 75 watts on them for like half a second) and then lays into the set. When I run a 70 watt setup my lag time is increased. It's not terrible, but enough that I still prefer the 50-60 watt range so I can still take advantage of it. If I'm running a setup that needs all 40 watts on a DNA40, then lag time becomes at the very least a small annoyance for me. On the other hand, run a 70 watt setup where it can blast it with 100, 150, 200 or even 250 watts for a fraction of a second to come up to temp and you've essentially eliminate any and all lag time. To me that's the benefit of having a much higher power device like that, versus actually trying to "run" at such wattages.

If by clone you mean being a variable wattage chip then ok, but other than that I don't see anything else. Maybe you know more info about the actual components inside the chip?Because they are both clones and cheap, and they are absolutely not the best on the market. Reverse battery protection and buck-boost are old tech.
They would have to successfully clone the DNA first which they have not. Their current technology is not capable of temperature control.

Temperature control is mostly software and some minor hardware. Once someone does it the Chinese will be able to clone it. I don't think it will be as "elegant" in the software department but, they'll figure it out sooner than later. I'm not advocating cloning for sure just stating that reverse engineering seems to be their specialty.

You do know that there are many that are quite happy vaping at 7 watts ... not 70. So when developing more advanced stuff it isn't just about getting more wattage. IMO trying to only create advancements that satisfies one segment of the vaping community would be a huge mistake. So remember that it's just as easy to get a dry hit from a low wattage clearo as it is from a high wattage RDA.

The context of the post pretty much defines the statement.
Think about it... All the innovative and/or known reliable regulated mods that people complain about low power are pretty much lacking in power ONLY. The only segment of the market left out by evolve and provape for example are the high watt users. The ones most in need of safety and reliability as a feature set.
And yes... I Do know most people don't vape like me. I expect that. The same respect and decency doesn't seem to be reciprocated too often...
