Aww don't do that if at all possible. Shoot before I go back to analogs I'll just go for the nic hit and up my nic level and vape with plain VG PG 50/50 with a hit of extreme ice and/or menthol flavoring mixed with a little stevia for sweetness and forget all the flavors I love (green apple) for a while. With all the options out here there's ways to adjust.

I hate Vaper's Tongue. Hate it. I'm dealing with it now. It's toying with me no less. It seemed to go away, until I found out I can't taste Grape Ape. So I just bought some sour candy and doritos, loaded a couple tanks with MBV Creme de Menthe and Hawk Sauce. Drinking tons of water. Ugh.

Same.

Almost 2 years vaping for me. I lose interest quickly in different flavors. The only way to keep the flavors popping for me is drinking gatorade. Too many calories for me. Cough drops work too but don't want to suck on a menthol cough drop all day.

My main vape is unflavored with some menthol and sulcrose or just straight unflavored.

Water doesn't work. Sniffing Coffee has no effect. None of the stuff works for me. I don't mind unflavored at all. After a while it is actually quite nice.

I just went through the same thing. I started vaping on 11/6/2013.

Everything was fine until the first week of February. I initially noticed that my favorite B&M juice (Juicy Fruit flavor) started tasting exactly like pink bubble gum. Not a hint of Juicy fruit. Other flavors started getting "weaker" as well. Food and drink still tasted normal. It stayed like that until last Friday (3/14). This week, eveything is back to tasting normal.

So, I had this for a full month. I believe that it went away on its own, but I did make a very strong batch of menthol & koolada juice a week ago, and vaping it a couple of times a day seems to have helped a bit. It may have been just a coincidence.

Hang in there. Use up any juices that you didn't like while you can't taste them. It will clear up. Eventually.

I think I've been vaping for about the same amount of time, and am going through the same damn thing. All was well up until last week or so, flavors were amazing, and now lately everything tastes..bland. I can't figure out if it's vaper's tongue, maybe I'm not using the right amount of cotton in my mini PT2's (been making micro coils w/ cotton), maybe it's the metal drip tip? I have heard the drip tip can make a difference but I don't see how it would change flavor let alone overall experience. I'm hoping this goes away soon since I drink quite a lot of water. What really frustrated me was last week a made a fresh micro coil and wicked it and fired it up and taste was decent and after a few long hits I got my first head rush from vaping (sadly almost all I vape now is 24mg), no idea why I got it or why it worked so well, and then a few hours later all the taste was crap. So lately the urge to have an analog and experience a head rush again is a struggle to resist

When it hit me, I realized I'd made a HUGE mistake in vaping. I always changed flavors frequently, which is a great preventative. BUT every single one of those flavors were fruits. Now that it'sc clearing up, I corrected that. I will always have a strong cinnamon flavor (the candy version), along with different groups (ie: anise, bakery, tobaccoish, fruit, etc). I'm working on finding favorites among those so I don't end up back at no flavor. I'm still not sure if I can taste subtleties yet. But it does get better. And the best thing for it seems to be time and water.

I think it was candy cinnamon for me that took my vaper's tongue away. Or maybe it was just the cinnamon that got me vaping more....lol

What I DO know is that it didn't last more than a week at the MOST and that I never got it again, so you have that to look forward to.

Yeah a week is about all mine has lasted. I thought it was still hanging around because I still can't taste my sweet GA Peach flavor, but at this point I think maybe the juice just faded over time. Maybe the yogurt overtook the peach or something. I can taste everything else now, even one I couldn't taste before. I have a grape I can't taste either, gonna give that some more time too. I've also taken to keeping some sugar free tangy/sour candies in my purse and desk (Ice Breaker sours) to keep my buds awake :p

Over the past 4 months since I've picked up vaping again, I've gone through like 10 bottles of juice that I would open, try a little, and then lose interest in immediately. This was mostly because I just couldn't taste much, or the label of the flavor was far off from what it tasted like. I would almost always be disappointed.
Now I just bought two more new flavors that arrived today, and they both smell AMAZING. like literally I could almost eat them. but when I put them in my tank, no flavor whatsoever. not even a hint. just that wonderful smell of the vapor that makes me want to cry for not being able to taste it.
am I doing something wrong? I'm using a brand new atomizer and kanger mini protank with ego c battery. I feel like ever since I switched to tanks I havent been tasting very much flavor...I used to taste way more vaping on a crumby Joye 510 filter system.
I just don't get it! is it the juice, or the equipment, or have I simply just lost my sense of taste? I try and buy juices from various sources, and all that have amazing reviews. so I doubt it could be the juice. I think its just me *sigh*
an analog never sounded so good...

Ok I've been doing this for whole 3 months so I'm an expert (LOL). Naw no expert, but one thing I have found is that the amount of airflow when you draw is a big factor in how much flavor you get. My first set up was with the protank mini's and I found that airflow was way to airy and the flavor was not so good. So you might try this:

On the base of the mini (the part you screw the coil into) are three small holes spaced evenly around the base. These holes are the air inlets for the coil. Take some tape, or a sticker (used lady bugs on my wife's) and cover one or two of these holes. If you cover all three you cannot draw at all. This will make the draw tighter and really increase the flavor. I cover two holes on mine, although I stopped messing around with tape and jammed wooden toothpicks in the holes and cut them off with a razor.

This is one of the reasons they are coming out with all these tanks with air controls. The combination of right amount of power to the coil and amount of air is everything in getting the flavor right.

Gargle and swish mouth with salty water 2-3 times a day . Sometimes even drinking a gingerale is enough to kick start my tongue. Maybe the juices you are buying are not strong juices. You may want to try Mount Baker or Juice Mafia for their ejucie because you can get extra flavor shots. I also find 50/50 gives me more flavor than 20/80, the higher the vg for me mutes the flavor.

I've noticed a lot of the same, bring home a juice and its not the same as I tested, let it sit and steep a few days and still no good. Just no flavor anymore with my protank2 mini or evods. Where I think lies the problem. I was at a local vape shop asking about rebuildables like a kayfun or something. The guy let me try his igo w. Holly cow! Full of flavor dense cool lung filling vapor. I fell in love. It was a simple dual micro coil on a bed of cotton. I ordered one from 101vapes when I got home, it will be here tomorrow. I would suggest trying someone's igo l or w or get an old style 510 dripper Atty like previouly mentioned, not a carto just a dripper.

an analog never sounded so good...
in my own personal experience, ymmv, it is only my personal opinion (i place this disclaimer hoping not to get obliverated by people who like protanks :)), i allways found protanks to mute the flavor quite a bit. I would sugest trying another topper to se if it helps. It doesnt have to be an expensive taifun or anything like that, just a vivi nova, T2, etc. In my opinion top coil tanks are better in bringing out the flavor that bottom coil ones.
For 10 ~ 15 bucks its worth the try.
Its either that, or like others have told you, "vapers tongue".

About the analog sounding so good part...
You mention that your problem is that you are not getting good taste from your gear. Do you honestly think, that you are gonna get good/better taste from an analog?
