I just bought a pouch of Native Wicks cotton and I must say I really like this stuff. The fibers are long which makes wicking so much easier. There is a slight taste with a new wick, but it goes away quickly. The best part is that it is burn and scorch resistant. I have been able to chain vape 5-6 hits without the slightest bit of a burned taste. I probably could have gone with a few more hits but I chickened out. I hate that scorched taste. The price is really good too. 3.5 foot rope for under $9.

I am really impressed with this cotton.

That's a hefty price for a few feet of cotton, imo.

3.5 feet lasts a good amount of time and I rewick often. I am torn between native wick and cotton bacon, like that it is one long section. This is excellent product. The price of cotton is very cheap compared to cost of juice and constantly getting new mods or tanks (for those of us who have this problem lol). Good cotton is key component and cost is not a factor if it performs better.

The regular stuff is ok. About the same as bacon. It's the platnum that's good imo.
Since I moved to rayon I stopped using cotton entirely but if I ever have cause to use cotton again it'll be platnum that I use.

If you're getting a burnt taste on any cotton it's probably not the cotton, just the method used.
No matter what cotton I used the only time it went dry enough to get a burnt taste was because I wicked it poorly.

A couple weeks ago I added a pack of the Platinum to an order to reach the free shipping. Im really impressed. It wicks as well as rayon. It lasts much longer before having to rewick than anything Ive used, and at my lower wattage vaping its impossible to scorch it. I also notice the coil itself stays clean for quite a while. I only vape NETs so thats pretty impressive. I do think rayon still produces the purest flavor even over this, but flavor is very good still. Ill probably go back to the rayon for daily use and keep this on hand for long trips or for any reason Id need to go a good stretch without rewicking.

I highly recommend it for cotton users, or for rayon users who might not notice/mind a drop in flavor for less maintenance.

If any cotton wicked faster than rayon or lasted longer, something was wrong.
Juice still sits on the surface for a while before it's absorbed.

Rayon has to be done just so to reap the full benefits.
I thought so too. Once its time to rewick the two attys Im running the native wicks in Im going to use less rayon and looser in the coil than I was before. I have no issues with rayons performance but the fact that this cotton is lasting longer made me realize Ive probably been making it too tight.

Im still impressed by this cotton

Then why does juice sit on the surface of cotton for several seconds before it even starts to absorb?
Use it and see. I didn't start with rayon...no one did. I've used cotton and it's slower. Much slower. Otherwise I'd be using cotton. There's a thread full of people that can back it up.
Form your own opinion.
According to the flat earth society this is all one big plain.

I've used both and haven't notice a difference in actual use. I prefer cotton pads. And yes, regular Muji cotton pads perform very well in vaping biker's test.

I have used Sally's rayon for months and a bit of cotton bacon. I found Native Wicks Platinum a couple of weeks ago and it is the best cotton I have ever used. Clean, easy to work with and lasts almost as long as rayon. Not that it is better than rayon, but if I only used cotton, I wouldn't use anything else.

It isn't expensive if you buy it at Lightning Vapes with 100ft of wire. They have a wick/wire combo that is $5-6 for most 100ft spools of Kanthan/nichrome/SS/ni, etc and includes a package of Native Wicks Platinum. I just bought 3.
