Andria,

If you're looking for "ash tray," I'm pretty sure that Bob's Krave Kutter from AltCig won't do it for you. Yes, it has some tobacco Absolute (I think), but it's a fairly typical synthetic tobacco flavor. Not bad, but not close to "ash tray."

Skip that, take Mr.Mann's advice, and go directly to Mom&PopVaporShop. I'd strongly recommend M&P's RYO tobacco, which is made with Tobacco Extract (same as Tobacco Absolute, except that the essential oil is suspended in PG rather than alcohol). RYO Tobacco is rough and tough, down and dirty. You'll love it!

Here's a link: RYO Tobacco from Mom&PopVaporShop

You can buy RYO either as a retail juice or as concentrated flavoring for DIY. If you're set up for making DIY juices (with PG/VG and liquid nic), then buying RYO Tobacco as concentrate lets you make your juice as strong as you wish.

All of Mom&Pop's retail juices are available as flavor concentrates: Concentrated Flavorings from Mom&PopVaporShop

Trying Analog from GeJ now (thanks, BecknCO). Uhh, I don't remember what was said about this liquid but I am left scratching my head. No, my head don't itch. If I didn't have issues with showing my actual face around here, I'd take a pic of it too show you a real reaction (think Silvio from The Sopranos).

Not only do I think this liquid is a miss, I am not quite certain of why it's even made. I mean, after Wrangler Light, why this? It has a distinct natural tobacco room note upon exhale that is decent, but there is something quite synthetic on the palate that I am not really diggin' at all. Maybe this will change, but I won't be finding out tonight.

I wasn't very pleased with My Analog too. I get a "melted plastic" note from it which is not very pleasing. I still have some. Maybe I'll give it a final shot.

This is the third time I've said "this is the best tobacco vape I've ever had" with NETcom. First it was Coconut Cavendish. Then Balkan topped that. Now Sun Cured Turkish is out of nowhere for the moment the "best tobacco vape I've ever had". Meanwhile they sent it to me as a sample with my order of Coventry and 3-Crown which I haven't tried yet.

I can't describe it because I'm not good at that to be honest (as you folk) and I'm not a tobacco veteran by any means. It's just damn good.

I see they're having personal issues over there at NETcom. I wish them the best, and thank them for the note of apology for the delayed shipment. No worries.

You're the second person to mention tasting a 'synthetic-ness" to ANALOG. I don't get that. Yes, it's similiar to Wrangler LIGHT, but WL is softer and has a bit of wet dog about it (the funk). ANALOG, to me, has a few more layers over the Virginia, extra sweetness (Cavendish, if I recall) and that mystery note which I stated tasted a bit like wintergreen when I first vaped it; since then, I really don't pick it up, but I've grown accustomed to the flavor now.

Analog is sweet and heady for a non-dessert NET, but I still don't get any synthetic-ness to it.

For the record, I wasn't saying I think Analog tastes like WL, just that I thought it was redundant when, IMO, Wrangler Light works on the level that I imagine they were going for. Obviously liquids won't work for all and we'll always have disputes, but this liquid to me tastes like a cross between their House Brewed line and their Lab line--not what I am looking for, though others may find it quite enjoyable. No one is right, no one is wrong unless someone says it tastes like graham cracker! LOL

This is it. I think I may have to get another bottle of this. I still got my 30% coupon code too. Nice. Oh and FYI, M&P will give a 30% coupon code good for any time if you post in their appropriate thread on your birthday. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/mom-pop-vapor-shop/257360-happy-birthday-30-off.html

Well, I don't know why they decided to go in that direction, either. And I don't know if I would have liked it 9 months ago when I started vaping, since I wanted the dry, non-sweet stuff and Wrangler LIGHT worked well @ the time.

I wasn't really interested in it when it was released, either. Shatner recommended it, and then PIF'd me a sample and the sample won me over.

BTW, Mr. Mann -- have you tried out Juice Mafia's Turkish. Not a NET, but in your I know you like those desert tents :) And it seems to be one of their most popular liquids.

Hmm... not set up for DIY, I just started and still looking for a flavor I like, though I'm entirely prepared to mix pre-made flavors, if I think I could improve on the pre-made with my own mix -- I like to cook, after all, and I have an unbelievable sense of smell, for a smoker, for a non-smoker, for a HUMAN -- my husband sometimes refers to me as "My Bloodhound." I think that finding an *initial* flavor I like will most likely hinge on pleasing my sense of smell rather than taste, since as is widely known, smokers' tastebuds are rather muted, and I'm sure I'm no exception -- it's my olfactory sense that seems entirely unaffected by smoking. And god help me if it gets any keener, I'll have to wear a gasmask just to drive a car. And they say cigarettes stink! Car exhaust makes them smell like roses! :)

The two I've ordered were 1) "strong tobacco with a light taste of cigar" and 2) the Dirty Ashtray flavor; the one I have now is "Oak Barrel Cider." The Oak Barrel, despite being quite apple-cidery, has some subtlety to it that reminds me of the smell of my cigarettes before I light them, which might be the oak tannin I'm smelling, and I love strong black tea, another tannic taste -- I think that tannic bitterness might be what I'm really after. I noted that EC Blends has a flavor enhancer called "The Bitter Truth," which I might try at some point, if I can't get rid of the sweetness of most all these flavors any other way. And I'll probably give the RYO a shot, if none of these others suit; glad you warned me off the Krave Kutter, as it was a little bit more costly than I really want to go, right now, while still smoking/weaning-off the very-expensive cigarettes. Once I finally leave them behind, I won't mind so much, what I pay for flavors, since they seem quite inexpensive compared to cigarettes. Thanks!!!

hahahahahaha. I think I may just be all Turkished out! Actually, I am almost certain I am. I went through a stage where I vaped so much dern Turkish eliquid that I tired of it. I can't think of any Turkish eliquid, any, that I want to vape right now. Of course, I am still down to try new liquids, just no Turkish liquid that I've previously tried. That goes from synthetics to naturals to synthurals.

Bummer you didn't like it Mann. Remember that juice is only about a month old, so maybe something magic will happen with more time lol. When I first got it, I couldn't taste it at all, everything was so light in it. I don't get anything synthetic from it now, but my only point of synthetic reference is really hangsen tobaccos which now I can't stand at all. Funny how much and how often my tastes are changing. If you like the desertish tobaccos, you may really like the other two, but they both use TA. Let me know what you think!

I got your package today too - thanks! I only got into the sahara blend as my eyes got big when I saw there was well-steeped sahara blend in there! I've really enjoyed the 2 week old bottle I have, and it's nice to be able to taste something more complex in your bottle than in mine.

I just got my entire feb vape budget in the mail today - so I've set up my nemesis clone with an IGO W dripper I got off the classifieds. Holy crap that .4ohm dual coil the dude built about blew my head off! I loaded it up with some Coventry at 12mg and after a few puffs, I was feeling light headed! I don't think this sub ohm stuff is for me though - a little too hot and heavy and not enough nuances and notes like I find in juices when I get the joye 306 just right. Playing it safe with a voltmeter/ohmmeter, sony vtc4's, but I think when I start to build myself this week, I'll be keeping it in the .8-1.5 range. What wattage do you guys like best for NETs?

I'll say the 44.5 watts this thing calculated out to be was juuuuuust a little too much or WAY too much :?:

edit: the battery has died down some, and this coventry is absolutely delicious! I get a tiny hint of smokiness, strong tobacco dryness, vanilla, and nuttiness. Actually, the cigarish "room note" is pissing off my chica just a little too much - which means it's time to switch to Vape Tree RWHY4 (which she likes). Hehe- I love learning from you guys :) Bill, you have to try this if you haven't already.

I hope for the best with Clay and his family, and I'll definitely be putting NETcom on the re-order list. I can't wait to try Balkan - thanks Mr. Mann!

Two very popular FlavourArt enhancers are Bitter Wizard, which counteracts (neutralizes) sweetness in eliquids, and Vape Wizard, which enhances the blending/melding of flavors. Both are sold in 10ml bottles, which last indefinitely, given that each accomplishes its task with just one or two drops per 10mls of juice. ECBlends' Bitter Truth is either FA Bitter Wizard of a knock-off of it.

Ok, I went over and had a look; definitely like their prices better than altCigs; from the reviews, I'd say it's definitely something I should try, if the ones I'm waiting for don't do the job. From one of the comments in the reviews, I gather that it may taste like a Marlboro, which I never enjoyed, but at this point, any vapor that would taste like an ACTUAL CIGARETTE would be of GREAT interest to me. I also like that rather than a 12mg, they offer a 10mg; been smoking 6mg cigs for 15 yrs or more, so I don't want to go overboard on the nicotine content. This 18mg I got the other night is definitely too strong for me, making me light headed and giving me stomach pains, a smidge of nausea.

Thx again!
Andria

It's okay. I mean, it's not really a bummer at all that I didn't have to pay to play. Hopefully you find something in your package you like, but even if you don't, take that as mo' money saved. ;)

Well, I tried to have a look, but their site is down until the 6th "for maintenance". They need a better web guy, who can do the maintenance/dev stuff at a dev site, then upload it to the live site -- it saves losing a lot of visitors/business. At least, that's how I do it with my own site, so it never needs to be down more than an hour or two, if even that long. Oh well.

Ever since getting the Kayfun clones, I've been hitting my drippers less, mostly because I am so enjoying the flavors in the Kayfun clones.

Analog lasted just over 5 mls before the gunking started, but it was great while it lasted. I recoiled it and put Legend back in, since I figured out my leaking problems and it no longer occurs (user error, learned from it, moving forward). I am using the same wicking technique with the Fogger as with the kayfuns without issue (wicks tucked inside the coil channel, not the juice channels), and have been quite please with a simple 1.3-1.5 ohm microcoil and 3mm Ekowool.

Definitely need to invest into a few more for the future.

I've also been brushing back up on my Linux since I administer my roommates 2 laptops and, like Windows XP, her Linux Long-Terms Support OS ends support come April, so I'm trying to find a decent OS/Desktop Enviroment to install on her aging laptops. I decided to stop distrohopping myself and re-partitioned my HD and reinstalled. [Manjaro] Linux makes it so easy :)

Also, been shoveling too much snow. When exhausted, I tend to sample unknown flavors less -- I need comfort vapes, so back to the Kayfun-style clones on the downtime.

Hello fellow NETers. May of last year the wonderful Scarf-ace hosted the premier of the NETty Awards found here.. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/showthread.php?p=9412248

I thought it was a blast, and I'm wondering if there is interest in that being held again. If there is, I'll try to contact Scarfy to see if she wants to host it again, and if she doesn't I'd be happy to set it up and tabulate the votes. So.. any interest?
