It's just my way but I always let EV steep for a month. I think Vash recommends a few days. Take little nips along the way.

I stupidly went to Central Market and fought the crowd. Stopped at a 7-11 on the way home and got a pouch of American Spirit Standard to start extracting. Then turned on the A/C and took a little nap...hehe.

CHICAGO (AP) _ The city of Chicago is launching a new public health campaign aimed at educating young people on the dangers of electronic cigarettes.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel and the city’s public health department said Wednesday the so-called “vaping” campaign includes advertisements that will debut Monday. They’re also trying to spread the word via social media, using the hashtag (hash)VapingTruth.

The Chicago Department of Public Health defines vaping as breathing in heated liquid nicotine from devices such as personal vaporizers or e-cigarettes.

Dr. Julie Morita is the city’s public health commissioner. Sh says electronic cigarettes and other battery-operated devices are designed to mimic cigarettes and have flavors that appeal to young people.

Morita says the campaign includes information on the dangers of nicotine and toxic chemicals found in some liquids.

Ns dark is good. Not tried Latakia so no comparison.

Mind you tried the Poliu tonight which I believe contains Latakia. Phew much, much stronger than Ns dark..

Loved it with some wine and food, bit much for an adv but holds up real good against alcohol.

Another coil killer mind, 2 ml and time to rewick the kayfun lite plus!

Ns dark is smoother, more subtle.

Back to HoL El Puros until sober enough to deal with rewicking.

The latakia found in the three french ciggy style e-juices from NET.com are done very lightly... in fact, most people will not notice it at all in one of them but I can't recall which one that was now.

The various NS ejuices ( like NS Dark ) are different Nat Sherman style ciggys... so they are also very light flavored as a ciggy should be... I don't think they contain any latakia at all that I could detect.

Clay ... aka CarbonThief never publicly shared his extraction methods... those are typically considered company secrets so it wouldn't have been prudent to share.

Oh. I have thought he has discussed here like all other members his extractions.

I have asked for this because i am ready with my hot ethanol extractions and now i want to try the hot pg extraction. I am searching for information referring the best way.

How long heating ?
Is heating, cooling, heating again better for the flavours ?
With only pg or pg with vg and nicotine ?

I want to have some success without trying too much methods.

You are wishing... like most things in life, they require trial and error.

Each type of tobacco will have different extract times. Extracting longer can bring out different flavor notes which sometimes makes a considerable difference in the taste, so it isn't just about making a flavor stronger, it can make it different also. One notable example would be Heather's Heavenly Vape's flavors of Legend and Serendipity which use the same tobaccos but end up tasting very different simply because the extract time on Serendipity is longer and brings out different flavors... those two almost taste completely different.

PG is thinner so should be able to extract flavors faster than VG would... this would also make filtering easier being a thinner liquid.

I suspect the threads you ( and others ) were pointed at about creating your own extracts will have much more information than this one just talking about the various flavors that already exist from retail vendors. There is some brief talk on extraction here but that isn't the main topic in this thread... it's only a side note here and is best left to discussing the particulars in those other threads if you want real details.

Once again i am thinking about patriot from GEJ and the nets from net.com.

The nets from Clay tastes very good like tobacco smells but the smokiness is not so good as patriot.
Patriot dont taste as good as the nets from net.com but the smokiness during breathing out through the nose is awesome realistic like a cigarillo or a real cigar.

I think patriot is not a real net. It could be a strong flavour like some from inawera. I have searched a few minutes referring roasting flavours and found a few words about phenole. On the other side In one article has been written that phenole from roasting could be favor cancer.

The idea is to put roasting flavours in a net to have more smokiness but i dont know what i should believe.

What do you think about it ?

I think Patriot is a NET. As a matter of fact I think it's THE NET.

BTW : I forgot to mention that when you do the weekly extract re-heat, you should also shake it really well or stir it for a minute or so.

I will shake it, but what would Bond saying ? I think i have to heat my water bath till the temperature is also in the jars. So it could take 1-2 hours till the jar temperature is all right. Or not ?

You are the master but i dont believe that patriot could be only a net. Do you only know one net, which has the same smokiness of a cigar ? Ok, it could be a cigar or cigarillo net but not a pipe or rolling tobacco. Or do you know a rolling tobacco with this taste ?

Thanks boomer ! :w00t:
