For you NET.com vapers. What is your preferred PG/VG ratio for these liquids? I went with 50/50, but I can be flexible with that. Im thinking maybe upping the PG will help with flavor and coil clogging.

I stick with 70PG/30VG unless the blender suggests otherwise. If 50/50 is only available that's fine. I can't do high VG.

^ This. Anything less than 70% PG to me loses flavor and TH. Not cloud chasing either, so I take the default with NET.

I'm quite happy with a heat assisted PG/VG extraction for 5 days (130 degrees in a slow cooker). Let it sit for 2-3 weeks and filter twice, last being a 2 or 3 micron alstrohm (I use an Aeropress and heat it up for 1 minute in micro before filtering for ease.) I mix at 20% concentration and am at around 10% nicotine in a 50/50 PG/VG final mix.

Do you mean, this is one of the best ways to get a very strong cigar juice ?

Yeah, thats what I was thinking too. Im not a high VG guy anyway. I cant remember why I did 50/50 at the time, but you guys are right. Going to 70/30 would boost the flavor somewhat and could help with the fast coil clogging.

And I do tend to think these liquids work best for dripping. I wouldnt recommend using these in any non rebuildable tank, unless you got a few packs of coils nearby.

Hi Jonny, I haven't tried the PGA extractions yet so I cannot compare. I do find this method to produce stronger flavors than what I've purchased and I've tried many of them. I typically get a Toro or Churchill cigar and around 120 ml of a 65/35 PG/VG for the extraction. I'm guessing that PGA's are cleaner but I just rewick after every 6 ml tank, which I don't mind doing for the really nice flavor. If you look way back you'll see that slight variations of this is how most of us started and I just haven't tried the newer processes yet--but may. 20% concentration provides a pretty good wallop for me. Cheers man.

I will do my last 14 tobaccos with the hot ethanol extraction. I have latakia and some other fire cured tobaccos and i dont want to wait because of experimenting with other methods. The fragrances of the tobaccos are too good to wait anymore. I love latakia and fire cured tobaccos most and i have no extracts from them. I must do it now. After one or two months i will try all my juices and than i will thinking about, if i need to try other extraction methods.

On the other side i have mixed cigar juices from 8 cigars by the hot ethanol extraction yesterday. Because of many people have written that cigars are very difficult to extract, i want to try more methods with cigars.

At first i will read and ask here for experiences.

Is here anyone who has made a strong cigar net and if yes, with wich method and with which cigar ?

I'm also a fan of Latakia. been trying several extraction methods, but not ethanol. Would you please link me to where you've described yours? Thanks.

You are a fan of lataki ? Do you know the smoked lataki from net.com ? I love this stuff and also the dark fired. The smokiness of the fire cured tobaccos is that what i want.

Sometime i am thinking about to abduct Clay to press out all his receipies and secrets. But i live in germany. I need a little partner in crime.

Little - ? Moment, please  Foggy, where do you live ? Are you still alive after trying all these strong nets ? :pervy:

Haven't tried theirs, rather plunged directly into DIY. This is the stuff I'm extracting ATM.

me too. i don't really have a problem with VG but it wicks so poorly. if i'm adding a flavor that is alcohol based (ie PGA) that is more than say 1.5ml per 30ml, i would do 50/50 as the alcohol would thin it down as if it were 70/30.

70/30 is almost like the perfect mixture. good TH from PG and just enough VG for good vapor.
