I guess I should consider myself lucky that I love perfume then. I am wearing Lavender by Ferrari right now as a matter of fact.

Speaking of Ahlusion, I really miss it. Ahlusion never delivered to Australia do any Ahlusion I got came by the help of friends on this thread years ago who would act as an intermediary for me.

The original Bluegrass Burley, Vurley, Smooth Criminal and that strong Latakia based NET they had who’s name escapes me, were some of my favorites.

The Bluegrass burley was like a revelation to me. That strong freshly mowed grass flavour was delightful to my taste buds.

If I recall, Bluegrass Burley was the one I disliked the least. Wasn't that one of their "Aromatic" offerings? If you want grass, try Gaia from HHV. Hayfield dreams!

I think when we try out a new juice flavor our minds try to compare it to flavors we are familiar with whether it be another tobacco, fruit, bakery, or any other flavor. I think that's just a natural yearning. I remember when I first tried Dragon's Fire back in 2012. As I was vaping it I was neither liking it or disliking it. It was just there. I think what was happening is I was trying to figure out what the hell it tasted like. It was new to me. I think once I subconsciously realized this, I surrendered and just evaluated it for what it was. I remember the second it happened too. I was sitting on my front porch. It was a warmish late summer day, bright sun. a slight breeze. I'm vaping away on it when all of a sudden I said to myself, "This crap is good!" Been vaping it every day since. The Big Thread instructions for newbies was always, Vape It Till You Like It. :)

I think the arc and evolution of our experiences with juices is similar to the evolution and arc of our experiences with other stimuli in life such as people, music, movies, food. It doesn’t stay the same. It evolves and grows and changes.

We can start off not liking something and with time and exposure can grow to like or love something the more we understand it. Indeed we can fall in love with something, be in sync with it and appreciate its nuance and rhythm entirely until one day it just dies away and we no longer appreciate it.

In your case Bronze I guess you and Dragons Fire have an eternal love which will have you dancing the funky chicken in your 50th wedding anniversary :)

If I remember right, BB used to be 100% VG. And I remember when I tried it you needed a jackhammer to get it out of the bottle.

Bobba’s was challenging in those days because we were still primarily using tanks and atomisers that worked best with high PG liquids. Sub-ohm direct lung vaping didn’t yet exist. Cartomizers were still around and in their prime when Bobba’s came out and using it in cartomizers was definitely off limits. It didn’t vape well in any Kangertech or Aspire tank.

I used to vape it in 306 and 510 atomisers. I think Bobba’s lasted just into the advent of rebuildables. I can imagine it would be amazing in rebuildables.

I just checked out the Alien Vision website and it’s a blast from the past for me. I see they still have Blend 4. They also have Gorilla Juice which is Bobba’s Bounty with a banana flavour.

There are ample synthetic tobaccos as well.

Looks like my next juice orders might be a reflection of discussions which have taken place in this thread over the last couple of weeks. It’s just like the old days of this thread :)

It’s 2012 all over again - the thread is busy, discussions about Bobba and the difference between NETs and synthetics, talk of HHV and their enigmatic juices and their polarising effect on people feels like a time warp for me !

I see some HHV and Aliens Vision in my future.

What ever happened to Backwoods Brew?

Gone I think. The website actually still exists and for years there was speculation that the vendor would start up again.

My taste memory of that Ry4 Asian Backwoods Brew made is strong. I can practically taste it on my lips.

My fav was his Applewood. It was unreal.

In the , "What the heck" department...I ordered a small bottle of Boba's today. No particular reason other than curiosity. Vaped it years ago and didn't think much of it one way or the other. But as we have been discussing, things change.

Please do give us a review of your perception of it now vs then :)

I am not sure that I have enough sense to understand what you said but I sure enjoyed your saying it.

Yes Bluegrass Burley was an aromatic.

I don’t like Gaia. I tried to like it but it just didn’t work for me. Gaia and Maple Eh? Were released at the same time and for me the appeal of their release was to ‘flavor chase’ the good old days of HHV before everything started to taste different. They were release just after Legend, Serendipity, Huntsman and others seemed to change.

Maple Eh succeeded in a way, because it tasted like old Huntsman but Gaia was like Dark Horse with some acrid quality to it. I’ve ordered it twice over a couple of years and it wasn’t any better to my taste buds the second time. I guess taste is subjective !

Will do, but I can't recall it vividly. It was 6+ years ago. I just remember it being a little peppery with maybe a graham note in it. I remember it not being offensive but nothing that made me do backflips either. GT gave me some to try. He got hooked on it before the NET explosion.

One of the things that I like about the HHV NET's is that I can get them without any PG, my oral mucosa and PG just don't get on well together. If I want it thinned I can add distilled water to it. I understand that 1 ml water thins out PG as much as 4 ml of PG.

You're a better man than me. I didn't like any of them. :)

BTW, they have another grassy flavor in their Artisan line called Triple Threat. Hula sent me a sample. Just can't get into the grassy stuff.

I know it doesn't take much distilled water to thin out e-juice.

Me too. Can't remember which ones though.

Here are some I remember:

Toffee
Malty toffee
Adirondack which was a lovely dry tobacco
Casablanca - a chocolate tobacco which at the time was almost as popular as Bobba’s. It had mass appeal and adulation.
Ry4 Asian
555
Ry4
Applewood - another stunning juice. It was robust, dry and well blended.
