I rode the House Blend bandwagon for a while. I've compared it to red velvet cake... noticeably chocolaty but not chocolaty enough to be called "chocolate" if that makes sense? I've still got 15mls worth but I haven't felt the urge for it in a while. Too much other good stuff out there ;)

I'm totally with you on that one. House Blend tasted exactly like this to me: chocolate.jpg It had a kind of muted chocolate flavor. I didn't get any hint of that whatsoever from BWB RY4, and there's really no comparison.

I'm so tight I save every carto I use if savable and throw in a to be cleaned bag after rinsing them out and put condoms on them. But like Scarface don't clean them to often not worth my time.

I have got several friends into vaping lately and have showed them how to clean them and tell them if they clean mine they can have half of them:)

I got the director of my company into vaping. I think this means I can never be fired...? :p

Hmm. Interesting. Did you taste tobacco in HB? Sometimes I did but most of the time I didn't.

If you want tobacco, if you really, really want tobacco, GeJ has got tobacco. ;)

The more I see the more it seems as though I should sample from GEJ first, this is soooo not helping me try to break even from starting vaping. Even if I can be happy with the equipment there are so many juices to try.

I also want to put that there is a really big difference with the Gandalf in the cobra genesis. Vaping it today after work and I can really taste the tobacco, which is great.

Congrats on winning a convert! One more for the cause! I didn't really get any tobacco from CC House Blend. Honestly I don't really get tobacco flavor from most non-NETs, but I guess it could be that my taste buds are so tuned to tobacco extracts that the synthetics just don't register as tobacco to me anymore.

If you ever wanted to know what an $18 cigar looks like when shredded and turned into a nasty-looking PG/VG sludge, kind of like this:

cigarsludge.jpg

Sad, actually. Rest in peace, little Monte. I'll be simmering this all night.

I didn't really get any tobacco from CC House Blend.

I didn't either. It's a very neutral juice IMHO, and that is perhaps why so many people can vape it?

I'm wondering if anyone can suggest a "tobacco" type juice for me. I've never smoked a cigar or a pipe, so I'm not really in touch with what that tastes like. What I hate: smokey/woodsy, piney, oily, mesquite-like. Those 4 things I cannot vape.

For instance, JC tennesse cured, Halo Tribecca, and BWB Ky Premium made me want to run out of the room. There is no point of even saving them for later, I will never be able to vape this stuff. I call it sewing machine oil. So what would you say those are? I'm hopelessly uneducated about this tobacco stuff, don't even know what to stay away from.

Here's what I would like in a tobacco vape: not deserty or sweet, but not ultra-dry, sour, or bitter either.

Where can I start with a few *safe* bets? Also keep in mind I need higher VG. I am thinking Plume Room?

NLV Gold isn't a tobacco juice, I know. I pretty much hated that. Buttery to me is under the oily category from above. Should have known this because if anyone is microwaving popcorn I have to leave the premises, that's how offensive MW popcorn mells to me. lOLL

I just want to try one or two.........I guess besides what I already said above, I like "crisp, clean" but with some complexity.

Racehorse, I'd try the milder tobaccos in Heather's Heavenly Vapes range. Shadowfax and Dragon's Fire. They are sweet but not offensively sweet, and nothing harsh about them. I am pretty certain they are available in high VG. If you like those you might also like Caramel Apple Tobacco which is very crisp and lovely.

Cannot speak about The Plume Room since my order is still in transit, but I am sure that Mr Mann and Tezcatlipoca and Hulamoon can enlighten you about the many fine juices from Ahlusion which have a great following.

Hmmm... Racehorse, you sound like a difficult case! :) I think I would steer you toward GoodeJuice. They are very legitimate tobaccos, but don't tend to be overpowering or desserty. I think I would start off by recommending Patriot. It's a mild and agreeable, yet complex pipe blend. It's 50/50 though, so I fear that might not be high enough VG for you. I have only tried Ahlusion's aromatics, and based on your description, I don't get the impression that you would like Devil Dog or Blue Grass Burley. If you forward your post to Wlad at Ahlusion, he might be able to recommend something for you (bearing in mind that you don't like Smooth Criminal). I don't have enough experience with Plume Room to make any definitive statements, but I'd wager that some of them might be a little sweet for your palate. BTW, Halo Tribecca also made me want to run out of the room, as did most of their other "tobaccos"!

As has been stated, I would suggest HHV and W2V...J/K! HHV, GeJ and that's about it. As to what from HHV? Try a sampler. GeJ, I would recommend Patriot and maybe Wrangler Light.

Want2Vape: Red Pirate
Mom and Pop Vapor Shop: RYO
Goodejuice: Patriot
Heather's Heavenly Vapes: Huntsman
Vaperite: Natural tobacco, organic tobacco, APV Tobacco

All these should be pretty safe.

GEJs are generally the best NETs to start with for most people that want to try straight tobacco. Nick (GEJ) totally gets it and delivers us the goods, nothing else compares. (Except VR if you want to move in a lighter direction.) With your genesis atomizer you don't need to worry about trashing attys/coils and flavor-staining wicks/filler, so you can also jump right into the "hard stuff" like W2V/Vapenstein, Ahlusion aromatics, or Quick Nic, if you're feeling bold...

I have to say Vic, the GeJ juices didn't trash my attys near as much as the Quick nic juices..especially Grandpa's Night Cap. GNC is an all out atty trasher.
