My 11/08 bottle of "Original Gandalf" tastes/mouthfeels remarkably like the June Gandalf (Gandy #1) of Infamy.

But is it exotic? hahahahahaha! I am so thrilled that you said this, Eleanor. You got me thinking...as you always do.

p.s. Eleanor, sometimes when I post, especially when it gets sticky, I always try to post as if you are reading it. You are akin to my spell check, but more like a conscience check. I am sooooo happy to see you back, even if its still not in full effect. Hope things are going good!

In the New Members Forum, there's a post by 'gbojar' entitled 'tobacco Liquid Help- Specific' asking for help with tobacco flavors. I was about to refer him to this thread when I noticed he only has 4 posts. Can he even get to this forum ? If not, could someone here go 'visit' and help them out ? Just asking 'cause when it comes to tobacco flavors there is a lot of good advise in this thread.

My Virgin Vapor order has shipped! That makes 3 NET orders incoming. At current Auspost transit speeds I'll be lucky to get it by year's end.

Mine are on the way too scarf! Also, I have a custom Tobacco Rose sample that's been steeping for two weeks, that I'm about to get busy with. In my order comments a few weeks back I told Annette that I'd love to give some feedback on her new tobaccos if she'd like to send me a sample. She noticed that I suggested a rose flavored tobac on one of the threads in her subforum, and sent me a sample! How great is that?! Vaped it straight outta the mail and the rose was waaaay up front, but the flavor of the rose was insanely good! Checked in a week ago and it had started to recede a bit. I have high hopes this weekend as I start to dig in. Thoughts to come.

I was thinking of that very thing today, but to answer your question: nope.

Haha thanks. I am not a fan of pg, all of the juices I have with pg feel like a punch to my lungs, leaving them sore for a couple of minutes. VG doesn't do that to my lungs, even with a higher nic level. I was looking into the alhusion and highbrow juices, and each site recommends a mixture with pg. So I am interested to know how much of a flavor drop off there is.

Dev, I don't know much about Highbrow yet, but Ahlusion encourages you to contact them before ordering so you can tell them your setup, likes, dislikes, etc. If you also let Wlad know that you'll want 100% VG and how powerful you like your flavorings to be, I'm sure he'll make it perfect for you. The man knows his product very well!

Also, JG Blend is a really quality juice! I just started working on my bottle last night. I'm still not sure if I enjoy coffee-ish vapes, but the juice itself is spot-on! I selected unsweetened, light roast. The coffee flavor is unbelievably true... like the aroma of freshly ground beans. It really is a "light roast" kind of taste. The tobacco blend is reminiscent of the House Blend - very delicate, with a somewhat fruity undertone. It's not a super-tobaccoey vape. JG Blend is likely be palatable for people from many walks of vaping, and surely a must-try for the coffee vape and Atlas Shrugged enthusiast! ;)

Boy oh boy, can't wait to try this my lady! Eagerly hunting down mailman every day. Scarf-ace loves me, scarf-ace loves me nah nee nah nee boo boo to the rest of you. :p

Oh ok LOL. Here is the "recipe":

1 Chop up expensive cigar and place in deep coffee mug.
2. Cover with PG/VG in your desired amount and mix until you have a nasty-looking sludge.
3. Place mug, uncovered, in a slow cooker half-filled with water. Cover slow cooker.
4. Cook on low, overnight.
5. In morning, turn off slow cooker. Allow to sit all day long.
6. Top up the water in slow cooker and repeat steps 4-5 twice more. Your sludge will turn darker and more fragrant.
7. After third cook, place an unbleached coffee filter inside a funnel, and place funnel over a tall cup. Spoon your sludge into the paper-lined funnel and allow to filter.
8. Repeat step 7 two or three more times.
9. Age this concentrate for as long as you want.
10. Dilute as desired. Mine was mixed 33% concentrate, 33% VG and 33% 36mg PG unflavored nic. That makes for a liquid that is nominally 12mg plus whatever nic comes from the cigar itself. Judging from the hit, I'd say 15-17mg.

Awesome, when I place an order with them I will give them all of the specs. It is cool that they set up the juice for the customer's preferences and equipment. Which is good because so far, at least just in the last week, I have learned I am not a fan of strong flavor. I turned one of my old blu cartos into a flavor tester earlier today, and I only could stand 4 flavors (Tenn Cure, HX3, Frisco and Dover) out of 13 flavors I have from VS and Halo. The rest still taste like perfume and give me a headache. Right now I can only ADV my JC juices (Domestic and Tenn Cure). I guess I am very picky.

And speaking of Patriot, I think I'm starting to be able to pick out tabacco flavors. I could be totally off-base here (and probably am), but:

HHV Dark Horse: Small amount of Burley

GeJ Patriot: Medium amount of Burley

Blue Grass Burley: Burley in your face exploding.

See if you can catch this one... I am getting a clove flavor in the Patriot, mine is still rather fresh, but the clove is in my guesstimate, either coming from Perique flavoring, or the extra tobacco is a clove type flavored tobacco. I am only thinking this because it is too strong of a taste to be naturally occurring in the fermented Perique tobacco, could be wrong as to where that flavor is coming from, but it is definitely there. And it sure is a "burly" vape, hehe... Love it so far, even though that only includes two small dripping sessions. Can't wait to really hang out with this one in a few weeks.

Just reporting back that my GeJ bottles have all finally made it into the delicious phase. Really digging Patriot and GJ4. Going to be focusing on VB and Acadian tomorrow. For these guys, I don't think there is a phase in the steep process between wet dog and delicious. :)

Hooray Axo! I'm having a GeJ day: Patriot and Wrangler mostly. By the way all, Wrangler in a carto tank tastes really, really good. I've got the voltage cranked up to 5v and it is just washing my cares away:)

I also bottled up the Symphonie Fantastique because frankly the Organic and Perique weren't doing much for me on their own. I wonder if that will make a difference flavor wise, if they have a chance to steep together...?

Depends on your belief in what steeping "really" does? In solution, liquids mix rather quickly... So "steeping" has to involve a chemical reaction. Not likely flavors that are extracted in a similar base will chemically react with each other. Most likely nicotine, alcohol and oxygen are what are reacting in the juice. PG and VG may have a small reaction or smoothing with each other, but chemically they are very similar compounds, so it would be very minor and take place quickly. Give it a try and see what happens, but my guess is a quick thorough shake would mix them up, and the rest would be normal "steeping", i.e. if you steeped them longer before mixing, the results would be the same...

Basically, I don't think "steeping" is the mixing of the flavors, it is a chemical reaction that results in degradation/extension of certain compounds into more stable compounds.

Scarface I really enjoyed wrangler too and I vape mainly at HV...let me know how long u get out of that carto tank before it goe's south if u filled freshly with wrangler from the onset.

I only had a small bottle of it when I got Wrangler and if memory serves me I topped off a DCT that had a regular tobacco flavor in it prior and carto seem to die quicker than normal which is probably going to happen with NET's but curious what other's are getting in longevity with wrangler in carto tanks.TIA,Dale

Dale, so far I've vaped through a quarter of an F16 which is about 1.25 mls I think? No problems so far and it tastes superb.

I also ordered my latest test subjects: some pistachio Cavendish pipe tobacco and a Ramon Allones Celestial. Will keep you all posted on my progress. If anyone is interested I can keep a photo record of my experiment?
